Really that is just an excuse, if they don’t see something they make it up anyway. Maybe I don’t want to destroy the fantasy life they have built for me. In any case, it would complicate things.”

  7. Hello, officer. Is there a problem? Probably everyone will write this. But it’s like in Jane Austen, and all the officers – so elegant, so intoxicating – are so, so bad. Don’t trust an officer. I don’t mean the real ones. I mean the ones we imagine. The Mr. Rights. They’re never enough.

  8. They chase. They capture. They save us all. It’s so weird how most of us are afraid of them, or mad at them, or irritated. You see and don’t think, “Oh thank goodness for those heroes, making the world a better place”. We all think of what nuisances they are. We wish, foolishly that they would go away. But we should wish that they would forever stay.

    Rachel Noland
  9. officers sound like they belong in an office. in a cubicle of law, white, plastic. Or officers could sound like someone draped in navy blue with gold encrusted shoulders at command in a rigid salute. I prefer the latter.

  10. Officers are members of the police force who set about keeping law and order in the land. However though they are supposed to be people of high morals they often aren’t and can get into trouble just like the rest of us. Of all the officers I’ve met there are only a few I would consider to be decent human beings who I could call on in a crisis

  11. Officers are known as good people until it is you they are after. They maintain peace and take care of the bad guys. Officers are the people who this quote is for “its only illegal if you get caught.” Officers have to go through extensive training to get their job, and once they have the job, they have to keep in shape. ( in most cases.)

  12. Officers are the kind of people who you see and instantly begin to question you’re entire existence. When you are pleasantly driving down a country road on a hot July afternoon with not a care in the world, a police car behind you can suddenly transform you into a fugitive on the run with a dark past and a twisted soul.

I collasped in their arms. The officers began to speak softly and tell me about the fatal accident on the interstate. I thanked them for coming and asked them to leave.
