  1. This rally was one for the books. Streamers, and confetti drifting down from the air, hordes of people dressed in red and blue – our school colours. The excitement, and spirit was tangible, so much so that even Principal Evans was on his feet, cheering among the rest of us.

  2. I have already had this word before, I still don’t know what it means, however, I enjoy that I compared Rally to Really. Now I come to think of it, it sounds a little like a girl at my school called Sally. And that is me finished

  3. He expected that there would be raucous shouts, rallying cries, and the angry stamping of boots at the end of his speech. Instead, there was low-hanging, pervasive silence. The sound of the wind scattering the summer dust was the only thing to be heard as countless eyes stared at him disbelievingly.

  4. “…you will be our rallying point.”
I blinked, looking up sharply. “What?”
Klaxon looked down at me expectantly. “Surely you knew all this before?”
I shook my head back and forth almost violently. “No. No, this was NEVER part of the deal. I…I didn’t do anything admirable. I just…I survived.”
“And that’s what’s so admirable, Liana. Your story of survival. Don’t you think the people should hear it?” The smile he offered me then was warm, comforting even, but there was a coldness in his eyes, an iceberg floating in steel-blue seas, that made the hairs on my neck stand up.

  5. Rally. Sounds sooo… dated. Pep rallies have been discontinued because of “political correctness”. No one rallies together. No one talks to one another. We are not who we want to be.

  6. We went to a rally today; I’m not sure what it was for, but it was huge. There were tons of people with signs, shouting out the caused they believed in, trying to get people one their side, to “rally” them. It was very interesting, not sure if I’d ever go back again though.

  7. Shouts pierce the air as picket signs flail through the fury. “We’re all equal” draws itself from the throats of the crowd as they attempt to convey an idea so deeply rooted it’s amazing its recognized as an idea at all. The rally has begun.

  8. Shouts pierce the air as picket signs flail through the fury. “We’re all equal” is shouted from the crowd as they attempt to convey an idea so deeply rooted it’s amazing its recognized as an idea at all; no longer just a part of a person. The rally has begun.

  9. is this when a bunch of people rally together to support a cause? i dont really know. im kind of dumb wow uh sometimes people rally together to support cancer survivors. they sometimes gather in the form of a run or a walk. people rally together in times of need, when dear ones have passed.

  13. The heat that emanated from the stands was electrically. The energy sizzled in the summer air. Rallying a crowd could be dangerous, but he was a confident as they come.

  14. It was a night rally. We were running around the camp, looking for answers. I was chubby and got lost because couldnt run fast. Nobody noticed me. I wandered in the night hearing sometimes some laughs or singing far away. The night wasnt very dark, it was full moon. I found my way back alone. Thats when I wasnt afraid of the dark.

  15. We had to gather. We had to put our heads together. This had to end now. Tray was the last straw. We were all on the chopping block. Their power was set to destroy us all. We wouldn’t give up. We had to treat them all the same. Our allies were ourselves. A shade lighter and they’d have to be shot.

  16. He looked up at me from the couch.
“Let’s do it.” He said, dead serious.
“But we can’t. What about the rules?” I questioned/
“Who cares about the rules?” He said as we opened the door and left.

  17. Even when talking to her mother, conversations would sometimes disintegrate into a rally of barbs and insults, as both Alice and her mother found it harder to adjust to life together than they expected it would be. Eventually Alice would storm out of the room in a rage, and go somewhere to be alone, where she would realise, again, that she never wanted to be alone again.

  20. Riots, rallies, roaring. Rapture. Dancing, singing. A church with walls so barren that even the desert looks like a carefully painted masterpiece in comparison. But within the walls is the real story.

  29. The rally had begun.

She was frightened, to say the least. Her heart was drumming, she could hear her pulse in her ears; her palms were sweaty, she had to rub them on her trousers every second or so; and her breathing was laboured, she had to remind herself the mechanics of breathing–inhale, exhale–inhale, exhale.

Years of painstaking work had at last amounted to this one final act, a final act that would either bring about the change she had sought for years, the change that would change the lives of countless disadvantaged individuals across the globe… or it would, simply put, cause her very own death.

“Christina, we can’t have the cheerleaders rip off their shirts! The principal will NEVER let that one slide.”
“Are you kidding? He’ll be the first one in line to see it!”

  37. To me! To me!

I feel like I’m screaming at the top of my lungs but my breath is gone and no words come out. My people fall all around me. They can’t hear me, they can’t see me. I’m right here, I’m fighting for you, I’m fighting beside you, I’ll never leave you, rally to me!

But they cannot see and I cannot speak and soon nothing is left but an empty field and wails of grief for all of us. They will join me on the other side of the veil soon.

    They will come to me.

  38. i see all of them, gathered there in front of the stage. there are signs, banners, and posters being held up. People are screaming, people are crying. someone throws a shoe towards the stage. the guards duck, allowing the shoe to get past to the victim. He ducks, but not in time. More and more objects fly through the air, but not all make it through. The man on the stage raises his hands for silence, but the crowd just gets louder
