  1. the scent that she exuded was intoxicating. I noticed it as soon as she came into the room. Slowly, cautiously, nervously, I approached. “Let’s be laughing together this time next year,” I said. She looked at me, a wry smile coming to her lips. “And if I’m busy that day?”

  8. Nothing catches attention like aroma, smells, and scents. It can make or break relationships. Think about it, when you are meeting someone for the first time which will turn you off the most? If they aren’t attractive, or if they smell bad? Obviously the second. Its amazing how much our perception of people is derived from smell. Scientists are discovering how pheromones effect our attraction to other people which is in essence their scent.

  9. a lovely smell, light and fragrant with the ability to lift the spirits of the wearer as well as the smeller. It is nice and clean, light and not overpowering. Like an orange in the morning.

  10. A dog, nose to the ground, hurriedly follows the worn forest path. Something, something his master told him to track, waits ahead. But the dog is smarter than that, the animals left its scent behind, the perfect fingerprint as to who the animal is and which way it went. The dog smiled as dogs do and continued, nose to the ground.

  11. Heavenly scent fills the air. Just as I think that maybe it’s just some perfume, I spot the lines of blossom trees all along the path. It’s spring.,of course, and so i should have realised. Then I also realised theat the blossoms were dropping like snowdrops, and lying at my feet. I picked up a handful and put them in my pocket, as if that could preserve the moment.

  13. the scent of freshly cut grass always takes me back to summer. days where i’d wake up, get dressed and immediately go outside. run and play all day in the yard and later it was time for the beach. i wish i could go back to one of those days, (except i think i would put another coat of sunscreen on) and enjoy playing in the ocean with my parents, only to be rushed home by the threat of the on coming thunderstorm. we always made it home just in time.

  30. There was a lot of flowers in the old ladies garden… she loved the smells that came from them, since her eyesight was going it was the only thing that gave her pure pleasure in the last days of her life. They reminded her of her childhood when she used to pick them for her mother.

  31. lilacs, heaven sent. Violets, my grandmother’s perfume. Lily of the Valley, muget de bois. The flowers of spring bring with them so many smells, so many memories. My parents’ garden. My best friend. My sister. First love. Grown up ways. I wish it could be spring every day of the year. But then, perhaps, the effect of the perfume would be lessened. Perhaps we adore spring because it only comes around once a year.

  37. the scent f you is intoxicating, the air smells beautiful with the flowers that seep from your skin. It reminds me of the time that we were children, and we ran free and rampant in the woods behind the house. Images of how we spoke to one another flash before me, your words were loving, tender and calm. You kissed me and your hair brushed against my face, i felt warm and happy.

  40. The scent was cold and hard on my senses, driving me deeper into the cave. What was it, mold, mushroom, flower, or rock? It was damp and cold, soft on the palate but stinging on the mind.

“I remember this scent,” I said. I walked in further. The stalagmites were breathtaking, but they did not produce the scent. Whatever it was, it provoked nostalgia in me.
