Frost is my favourite part of winter. The way grass crunches underneath, how the safest of paths become treacherous, how cobwebs stop being delicate and become shatterable.
It’s the season to be jolly, so they say, but all I want is to see you and smile, no jolliness included. I want to drink hot cider, the steam rising to tickle my nose. I want to lean across a scarf to reach and kiss you while the tendrils of heat draw streaks of moisture on our cheeks, our breath mingling, our laughs touching as chapped skin soften as they meet.

Season… every season. There is a song that I love from Nichole Nordeman which is about the seasons changing. It’s one of my favorites and moves me every time I hear it. Sometimes I think I would like to sing it in church for others to hear.
My favorite season is the fall.
The reason for the season
Is complicated and vain
Some believe it’s Jesus
From a manger his light came
But maybe it’s the pagans
To celebrate the full moon
Maybe it’s ancient Horis
She had a virginal womb
No one can claim this season
Political correctness is dumb
You can’t stop the believers
It belongs to everyone
Summer. Winter. Fall. Spring. The season of giving. Leaves change, snow falls. The sun comes out. Scarves, brown carmel colored boots with peacoats.
Morgan
Seasons come and go. Hot, humid, breeze and cold. Everything in life changes too, yes change affects me and you. People don’t want to change at all and fight they will until they fall. Life changes just like seasons, so embrace change no matter the reason.
Isabel Pinaud
The lack of seasons in my life
summer consistently, 15 years
i feel bleached out, chapped
i only crave a cool wind and a scarf to wrap up in
the salty shores sting my eyes but i cant look away

I flew as two to see the season’s holiday joy,
And boy, I was consumed with a blanket of snow to enjoy.
A fellow then came, fell more like,
a white cloaked man with a big appetite.
“Evening Eric, I hope you’ve been nice,
but without a list I’ll have to trust your lack of vice.”
I bowed and sprang,
and showed him the town,
round Toronto, its glorious down-town crown,
and in the urban blanket, Santa did drown.
Tis the season to be jolly, Tis the season to be sensitive and loving to others. Tis the season to be thankful for what we have and to bless others. Happy holidays to all. God bless us everyone
Leah
I would say “tis the season”,
but it’s always the season for misery.
Because life is just one long winter of misery and cold and loneliness.
“Don’t you ever get tired of being so negative?”
Not when it’s the truth.
It is winter!! and it snowed. today is the first day of winter and it snowed today. this is perfect! I love snow a lot, but I don’t like the cold. This is sad, but isn’t there a way to get snow without it being cold?
this is it, the now
the way the time has come to me
the way it moves on to have my treasures
it’s now the time to be merry
ask me again in Spring

What season is it anyway? Time never moves on. Look around, and you’ll be hard pressed to tell the day, never mind the month.

Tis the season to be jolly. Sorry’s the first thing I thought of when I saw it. But to be honest it really doesn’t feel like Christmas. I mean, I guess I’m not really feeling the vibe of Christmas in my fellow man. People act like they’re scared to smile at me. I hope that chances soon.
It was winter.
This was always obvious, not by the bite of cold or the onset of snow, but by the smell in the air. Winter had this very specific smell, something like snow and oranges and nights curled up in heavy blankets in front of the TV. It wasn’t like anything else.
It hit me one bright November morning, just out of the blue. It was too sunny, I thought, to really be winter – but I’m rarely wrong about this sort of thing.
leaves are blowing carols are sung. Rain falls down. They never are done. Heat of the summer can scorch away the bite. In the air that chills you through your nose to your feet. Splash in the water. Log in the fire . Everything changing into something new. New was last years old and all left ahead is still untold

there are four seasons in a year, there are spring, summer, autumn and winter.

season changes
time goes by
the earth spins around
the sun set
the sun rise
i hate some seasons
but then i have reasons
to fall in love it all over again
It was the season of misunderstood consequences. A time in which wrong seemed less than wrong, more like maybe. Maybe things will work out in the end.

This is the season of holiday,
christmas is almost here
and what i love about it, is the decorations
though i love summer the most
but finally, I can face holiday!

The seasons are something to be enjoyed. Summer for its joy Fall for its calming days and Winter for the wonderlands of white castles Spring for flowers that bring new light to our lives.

The way in which we remember we are not only living machines but also living beings. We should open our eyes and see what happens – nothing is gray forever!

Maybe its the season of joy, maybe its not.
Maybe we’ll find the answers we once sought.
We could have been looking at the sun,
We could have had a season full of fun.
Alas! The weather is just as it is,
On my cheek I feel a frigid kiss. :)
the seasons changing, so fast. like in life. everyday with its very own seasons, fresh morning, warm noon, sad afternoons, dark nights. time. only time. goes around and around. comes back. and goes away. but stays the same. like the change of seasons.

tis the season for love family, joy and maybe a little bit of heartache. I am so thankful for everything in my life right now. Not to say that I don’t want to patch up a few friendships here or there but MAN! I AM SO HAPPY

’tis the season to be jolly.

at least we’ll be leaving in the fairest of the seasons.
‘Tis the season to be jolly everyone keeps saying. All John could see, however, were car park fights, stress attacks, and a sky-rocketing suicide rate. As an ambulance officer John saw the worst of the “season” every year.
They call it “shoulder season” here, or more colloquially, “stick season.” Late fall when it is dark and chill and all the leaves are off the trees (hence the sticks) but the snow hasn’t come yet to hide the skeletons. Sure, some snow up in the mountains but rain in town, and damp, and overall misery. Bring the snow – or don’t, say the naysayers who shouldn’t be living in a ski town with that attitude.
different temperatures, holidays. i feel cozy, warm, cold and fall i love the most

This is the season that everyone has waited for each year. It is the season of Christmas. The best time that anyone could ever hope for. Unfortunately, not many people can take care of themselves, and we have to do what ever we can to make that day one that they will remember always.
When I think of my favourite season, it has to be winter. I like Winter for many reasons: the fashion opportunities and not to mention the cold weather. Some hate Winter but I think it is very underrated. Firstly, the fashion opportunites:

The season was summer but the atmosphere here was to drop to a degrees colder than winter. This would be the end. The would be the time.
well, this time of the year reminds me of how lonely i can be. i should stop trying to understand people who do not want to be understood.

i wait for the post to arrive…
maybe sunshine will arrive in words from one i miss…
diffuse light through the window… autumn long gone for winter….
ink a page to off to someone else…. am i missed?

Festive season. Christmas. Turkey, warmth and love. I think about America and autumn leaves. This is not a really nice thing to write about.
