  1. I don’t like this word I don’t like anything to do with guns I wish they were all banned. what is it about shooting people that gets some people so excited? It doesn’t do anything for me. But I guess if we didn’t have guns, people would kills each other with butter knives? So it wouldn’t stop killing, just slow it down…

  8. There was a shootout in my neighborhood last night. I was so scared. At first I thought it was just fireworks because it really does sound that way at first. You’d only know that though if you’ve heard shots fired before. But there was screaming too, and that really tipped me off that it wasn’t fireworks.

  9. I had the basket of bread. All eyes were on me. All I had to do was feed the large monster and the sword of triumph would be mine. Suddenly, a hair got in my eye. Like one of those enormous lashes that you just can’t get out. Before I knew it, the monster ate me and the basket of bread. I guess the sword of triumph will have to go to the next shooter.

  11. The two of them stood there with their hands to their sides. Neither moved at first. Suddenly there was a loud bang and both of them shook, then checked each one’s private parts. To their right, a young man fell to the ground. Confused, they looked at each other and shrugged.

  13. Makes me think of the old western days; cowboys and mustangs and their old fashion ways. Yet it also makes me think of a terrible crime scene, possible one at a public place, one such as a super market or a small consignment store… or those old games at carnivals and amusement parks where you must shoot out the red stars for a prize.. it makes me think of nothing of real significance, just guns, and shooting, and pain..

  14. shootout. In hockey, I’ve seen a bunch since I’m canadian. I think theyre unfair. just make more time. when i was little it sounded like a bad word. like involving guns. in some cases, it does.

  28. there was a shootout at the courthouse the other day. seriously. cops with guns and gunshots ringing through the air. honestly didn’t know where the gunman was or if that was my last day on earth. totally puts things into perspective for me. a really scary thing that I purposefully didn’t want to think about. I’m growing up and it’s time to make decisions that will last long term.

It is powered by resentment, anger, and bitterness towards another person, and often results in critical injury or death. This is a very dangerous activity, and should not be tried at home.

  32. A shootout. I’m not really sure what that is, but when I hear the word I instantly think of cowboys and the wild west. Maybe that’s because I’m from Texas. I’ve never shot a shotgun before, nor have I ever gone hunting. A good friend of mine goes hunting often, and she has a ranch down south.
