  4. You’d probably think you’re crazy for staying up late on a very fucked up night because you just have to distract yourself, by watching this really lame show and then you end up watching all the past episodes and seasons. Why? Because of the awesome track that sums up everything, the fastpaced journey through the lovely ending you so desire just to discover there’s another leaf of life to be flipped over, maybe to ruin, or maybe to get yourself back up. I’m in a whirl of thoughts am I? I guess I should stop the reruns.

  6. It shows, doesn’t it? The effect that others have had, and the effect I have had? Adopting the subtle tendencies of conversation, their opinions over time. It’s quaint, and scary. Am I my own, or am I just a jumble of every single person I’ve ever met, every single effect that’s ever been had in my life?

  7. i have never been to too many shows myself, just a few but i always thought that they were way too crowded for someone like me. i used to stand in the bleechers and watch as people started pouring in from the streets, i saw them but they could not see me. I was very much at peace with this situation, then the show started and everything became a hazy blur of colors.

  8. “TV shows.” My Grandad began, “They’ve gone downhill since I was a boy.”
    I sighed. Not this again.
    “Grandad, you don’t have to watch it.” I turned around crossly to look at him.
    He shrugged, nonplussed.

    The pulse.
    The energy is uncontrollable, throwing sweat and booze all over you if you get to close and breaking your bones and bruising your skin if you go too deep in the crowd. This is a show. This is a concert. This is music. This is lived for, strived for, bled for, died for. This is a show.

  10. i kissed a fictional girl;
    she left in on my lips
    and a slice of aching
    between my ribs.

    (i still see her every night

    i’ve never felt so whole
    and worth writing about
    and incomplete.

He was always there, right in front, beaming like a goofy kid while his best friend nailed monologues, made some audiences root for him and some boo and hiss, and, more often than not, died in whatever way befit his character. And Tobias never missed any of Astor’s shows, either; he stood off in the wings, smiling gently and shaking his head while the trickster’s energy surged through the crowd, magnified by music.
