one word that i have no idea of. i would like to think thsat it means stern, but shouldn’t that have an er at the end? it also makes me think of smbrero, but this would be a serious hat because of the other definition.

friend, I don’t really know what this word means but it looks spanish-like as a root. Can you provide the definition with this word? I need to look this up before I can really write about it.

Sadness, solemnity, reminds me of a funeral. Funny how sometimes we may not really know the person who has passed away but we’re there to convey respect. Yet if we see or hear something that might be amusing, out of place though it may be, we feel really badly about smiling or laughing.

it sounds like sombrero. I really don’t know what this word is or means. It could be “somber” which I’m not sure of the spelling anyway. So, I guess it leaves me to wonder, do I really know what this word is? Now that I think about it, I think it probably is “somber” and I spelled it wrong.

Quiet and solemn. People who are sombre are not loud and boistrus. They can get our attention by speaking softly. It also reminds me of a Mexican hat- a Sombrero. I took a Spanish class in high school a looooooonnng time ago. It was interesting the people I have ran into in this country that only speak Spanish.

The mood in the room was sombre indeed. A little unexpected given the presence of the clown, but that’s just how some children’s parties are. Of course, the recent divorce, and subsequent arguments, of little Jemimah’s parents hadn’t helped, but it all got a little ugly when Daddy’s special friend appeared.
