I like the silver-haired stories. Seventeen years old, and my preferred company are the perimenopausal and beyond. I’m croning early. I hope it helps me do the wise detachment thing.
The stories my grandmother used to tell held no importance in my life when I was a child. I just thought she was an old lady rambling about her past wanting someone to talk to. What I really wanted to do was go outside and play games with my cousins. But now as I have gotten older I see the significance in her stories. She was giving them to me to hold on to and to preserve her memory. I wish I could have seen that as a child.
stories are fundamental to life; they tell life. constantly writing them when I was younger, and want to again soon after I have finished work creative writing is a joy, and got high marks for it. books are better than tv, one of the best things in life.

One world many stories
Begin from dust
End in glories
She lost the battle last night
Its a fucked up world
We are all filled with fright
Leave me on my own
Ill figure shit out
Im here on my own
Shout my story out.

I tell things that may matter, that came to pass an age ago, or in a world that hasn’t been touched by human hands, because I think that humanity- which should not have that name- is universal. If we care, we care this way.
The best ending I can hope for is a neutral one. Happy doesn’t play enough of a part in my own experience that I can cheat it into something I’ve created.
Story’s can unravel in many different ways. for instance if you give 20 people the start of ‘i looked out the window and saw it was raining’ you can pretty much garente that in 15 minuets time one person will be writing about zombies whilst another is talking about the impotence of fairy dust. That’s the magic of story’s summed up in one 60 second chunk.
i love stories. stories are what life is about. or life is about stories. tha’ts how you get to know someone, by telling stories. for example you might say i was born here or i was born there or i died here or there and i had a brother and no sisters and w were close or not close and i miss those days before i had to sum up my life in stories in a way i dohn’

Stories are meant to be passed on. They tell what happened. They tell what’s imagined. They change over time.
Someone to listen to stories I tell. I envy people with stories. I want to BE someone who has stories to share by the time I’m old. I’m amazed by these people. But I’m coming to realize that those stories didn’t just happen by magic. Those people went out and DID things, talked to people, took risks. They were not on the damn internet all the time. What on earth are we doing to our brains?
Christie
Reality is never good enough for me. And to escape it, I create worlds, fantasies, where all my wildest dreams become reality. Those worlds are in the form of stories.
Angie

The stuff of legends. They are the things that are there to tuck us in at night and get us through an exceedingly long day. They tell us about life, because where else would we truly learn about it?
He had a lot of stories. Different ones for different girls. The ones he told me were about his childhood, because he knew I was a sucker for a broken boy.

the words fly off of the paper,
they mean the most to you,
yet nothing to the person next to you,
you reread it again and again,
thinking about nothing but words,
words that may mean absolutely everything to you,
what will be written next,
time and time again I think about that,
what will be,
what happened then,
you learn Everything from stories

Stories are just a bunch of words mixed together
They can mean nothing
They can mean something

“I love writing stories,” said a little girl one day. “For my sister upcoming birthday, I’m gonna write her one.” Going up to her bedroom, she sat at her desk. Taking one of her notebook, she started writing. She finished up in 30 minutes. “There,” she said. “I’m gonna hide this so she won’t find it.” She hid it under her bed and started playing with her toys ’til dinner time.

An entryway to another world
The dreams, hopes of a character
Sometimes real, sometimes make-believe
Sometimes sad, sometimes happy
Sometimes romantic and sappy
Sometimes miserable and gloomy
Will you like it?
Take a chance
You never know what will be in it
An unexpected surprise for you to enjoy
Their dreams may be as yours
They may not
Different stories
Different hopes
Different dreams
Just for you

Page by page around the bends
On the edge of your seat until it ends
Word by word it all makes sense
I really can’t take the suspense
About frosty towns or foxes dens
Silky paint or colorful pens
You don’t need to sit there, just read

A story may be as vast as a desert,
Though as bitty as an ant.
A story is a time capsule,
A sun, greeting us from afar.
Similes: “as vast as a desert” and “as bitty as an ant”
Metaphor: “A story is a time capsule”
Personification: “A sun, greeting us from afar”
The words spill over from her mouth, a rambling unceasing fall of prose and poetry like a river overflowing. Her body animatedly follows and her eyes… well, it is in her eyes that her stories truly lie.
Close your eyes and see the darkness. Wait for the light to come. Wait for the colours to start swirling and figures to emerge. Watch how the figures become animated within seconds, and emotions embody the motions.
Wow, I love stories. My granny’s stories and stories in books like Harry Potter. Stories take me other places, allowing me to escape this world and to travel to another world. I appreciate people who are able to tell stories, sometimes I can tell funny family stories and people laugh, my granny used to laugh at my stories. I miss my granny and her stories very much.

Light up the match and watch it burn
It consumes the paper and it’s words
The smoke whispers away as the speech is lost
The fire it creates will never be forgotten
Just as the story itself
I read all day.
But what do I read?
Guess and I’ll tell you.
Your right it’s stories!
