my baby is in a swing right now. it is the only way that she will sleep. i wonder if she will ever sleep in her crib anymore. i wish i could be swinging outside.. i love that feeling. i felt so free when i was a kid swinging so high. i always wanted to swing all the way over the top of the swing set. i would swing so hard that i would bounce off my seat. i wasn’t scared. I miss that feeling.

swinging on the treetops flies a bird that came froms the divine heavens above. Here in these heavens is a fantasy land full of promise and dreams. However, not is all nice and dandy. For the people below on the land and Underland (Underworld) starve in poverty. Are they truley good people, the sky people?

dancing, like flying through the room. Hand in hand spinning and swinging to the music, sweet memories of double timing to “somewhere over the rainbow” and dancing with sweet old men and a guy just a little to old for me but still sweet on me. good class and great dancing.

swing is the name of that song that my dad gave to me, my favourite line in it is: oh you mothers, oh you fathers, keeping watch on your sons and your daughters, you pass onto them all the sins you won’t mend. i like that line because it is about how we are influenced by our parents. everyone is mad, and they pass they’re madness onto the most vulnerable people in their lives

a really great reminiscence of the child hood, horror movies and the time when you used to enjoy the springs in the green parks.

Swinging on the rope attached to the tree branch the two sisters fell screaming and giggling into the clear blue river below. This was the best day they had had in quite awhile. The sky was clear blue and the trees provided the perfect place to climb and explore.

abandoned swings, not lost not found
just right there, on the ground
I see them but I don’t stare
I see them everywhere

i love the swing….takes me back 2 my childhood…and i love the bewildered looks on peoples faces when they see a grown girl swinging in the park without any care for the world

“Swing your hips, that’s it,” my dance teacher reminded me. My tight to the skin hip-hop outfit pinched and Ms. Rivers kept having to remind me to stand up straight and smile.
A swaying swing in the middle of a cold misty morning. The fog is almost overbearing, but you manage to swing through it. The rusty response asks you to hold on tight.
I used to enjoy swinging outside when I was a child. Now I don’t get time to do much, let alone swing. I wish I were still a child. Life was simple and sweet. Oh how times change and people grow. Sad facts about life, right? But it’s inevitable. Life goes on and you appreciate it. That’s life. C’est la vie.

The tire swing hung from the centuries-old oak that stood adjacent to the back porch. Once in near constant use, it now sits almost still, gently swinging in the storm, its inside collecting the rainwater.

He swings the bat and connect firmly with the ball. The center fielder turns towards the fence in the dead sprint. He leaps into the air grasping for the ball alas, he falls short.

If you meet me by the swing that hangs by the oak tree in the middle of both our yards, we can spend the whole day just ignoring the rest of the world and laughing. The way we did all last summer before you went away. Before we had to face the real world and things got this hard.

swing sets are great. who doesn’t love swing sets? to stay all day with your stomach in your throat, while you fling yourself back and forth with only the momentum your legs can give you. pretending to fly, or be a super hero, and imagine once again.
Chris
Let’s go fly a kite and swing by the fire and pretend we’re young and fall in love like we’ve been best friends since we were children :)
At least that’s the fantasy that I have in mind and would love some boy to fulfill!!!!
a play thing for children, can be heaps of fun, i played for hours on a swing with my nephew on the holidays, he would stand up on a chair and jump 30 cm whch is a long way when your only 60 cm high

swinging on a branch is fun, but I prefer to swing on a trapeze. Been doing it for years. Swing swing swing. Sometimes its all I think about swinging — flying. I just can’t get enough. Swinging gets me of the ground, off the tangibility of life.

swings bring back fond memories of the park near my childhood home. THere was a seahorse shaped swing and a horse one too. in a playground next to an
new elementary school. Now my daughter attends school there. No swing any longer….

Wanna swing babe?
Of course!
I sat on the swing as my love pushed me gently back and forth, the cool breeze blowing in my face. I was cherishing every moment, Just sitting and swinging with my true love.
when i was kid i used to always fight with my older brother to get a chance to go on our swing. i would love getting “under doggies” probably the most fun i have ever had has a kid. now when i see a swing i can still enjoy the freedom of flying through the air. now i do back flips and jump off competitions, and i cant get enough of it.

I like to swing, even if it means that I will fall sometimes. Swinging on a swing, or singing in the rain. I enjoy myself swinging with my friends downtown and listening to music. Let me swing :)

i see a tree im sitting before a very green scenic image where i can see the town i grew up with at a great distance, the silence of the winds just filling the entire scene…

i like to swing on swingsets. there is nothing better in this world. makes me feel like a kid again. gravity at its finest. you get to see the sky, then the ground, then get that amazing feeling in your stomach that makes you feel like you are flying.
Danica
i broke my leg on a swing once. not doing anything heroic like running into a burning building or scoring the winning goal in a soccer game. but i did break my leg falling off a swing. funny thing about being a kid, i guess.

The swing rocked backward and forward as I sat there. He smiled at me and raised an eyebrow. ‘You got a problem?’ he asked good naturedly and I shook my head as I walked over and took the swing beside him. ‘Not at all,’ I answered.
As I rush toward the ground I can feel my stomach leap up into my throat, but as I am about to hit the ground I rise up and stare at the sky and feel the chain go slack.

Some of my fondest memories are on or near a swing. I have fell for someone. I have fell to the ground and scraped my knee. I have watched others fall in comical ways. Sometimes, Swinging back and forth makes you eventually come into contact with the unavoidable gravity.
Back and forth, forth and back, between holding on and letting go. Like a pendulum, I can’t seem to remain in one polarity. Trust … have faith … surrender …. eeeee, yes, but, wait, there I go swinging to the other side again. Help.
I once painted a picture of a girl on a swing. It was one of the best paintings I had ever done. I gave it to my good friend Sara Moneymaker. She moved to Murray after one year here at UK. We were like best art friends :) she had a lot of talent
The air blew through my hair and I felt laughs leaving my mouth like missles. Shooting through the air, drawing the attention of all the other children. I could see the envy on their faces, the longing. If only they could be this high they thought. If only their father was this awesome. My swing came to a halt as a tear came to my eye and I realized my father was gone.

we had swings when i was a kid, but they were lethal, if you got your foot stuck under the foot thing it was agony. so many kids in the neighbourhood made that mistake. pendulums swing, ropes swing. sometimes i swing.

I always wanted to be able to swing in my backyard. Seems like iconic, suburban, Americana. My first problem was learning HOW to swing myself. This didn’t happen until like 4th grade, probably BECAUSE we never had the swingset.
A baby… A cradle swing.
A child… A tire swing.
A teen… A mood swing.
An adult.. A swing shift.
An elderly… A porch swing.
