  12. i never thought i’d end up here. i was a fresh out of high school dreamer with a vision for wonder and an eye for life. i studied what it i wanted. art, music philosophy. i wanted to change the world. change myself and influence anyone and anything. i never thought i’d end up here. in a a school. teacher snot nosed teenagers about Monet and wishing on shooting stars that some sassy stranger would whisk me away and make me a life of of literature and curiosity.

  13. Teachers teach right? Well, now it seems that everything I’ve ever learned in school isn’t helping me survive or live my life. No, those lessons are reserved for different teachers-for real people. Real people who love and care and hurt. And live.

    Abigail
  14. Teachers. They can be fantastic, or they could make it seem like they are there just to ruin your life. They can inspire a thirst for knowledge, or they can make you never want to learn anything again. They can motivate you, or make you want to give up. They can be a role model, or they can make you think “I promise myself I will NEVER end up like this idiot”. Teachers. Whether you like it or not, they’re there, and you’re stuck with them.

    Erin
  15. Teacher. That’s what they called me. But I am no teacher. Just a student. Still. I will wake up tomorrow knowing only what I’ve know my whole life, and that will not be enough. What can I really teach others, but the fact that whever you stop learning you stop living?

  17. I had a teacher who began class one day with a lie. He continued to lie for fifteen minutes so until someone raised their hand. She’d found a discrepancy in something he had mentioned earlier in the lecture and asked about it. The teacher smiled and admitted that the whole lecture on tape worms was a fabrication.

  18. they’re mean and very controlling. they like to get on your case a lot and they won’t mind their own business. some of them are very smart while others are dumber then doornails. nobody knows if they even have lives outside of school.

  19. allow me to be your teacher. to show you a world that has been in front of your eyes this entire time, but that you have never allowed yourself to see. let me open up your eyes and world, your mind and plant a new way of thinking. let me change your life and bring brightness to any darkness that may discourage you.

  20. The teacher watched over her students while they took the test. She was very careful to pay attention to Bradley who was the trouble maker in the class. But surprisingly it wasn’t Bradley who was cheating. It was Breanna.

  21. I had always wanted to be a teacher, it was as simple as that. I wanted it therefore I thought that was what my future would consist of. But, one day I realized that I hated school, absolutly hated it; and as soon as I graduated I never wanted to step foot in a school building again. So, just like that, I changed my mind; and the vicious cycle called decisions started all over again.

  22. Experience is the best teacher. The things we learn from experience may never be taught from school. When we learn, we keep it in our minds. The values and wisdom that we learn from experience will never be taken away from us.

  23. She offered a nervous smile and glanced at the clock. The plan had not included what would happen if she got caught by the teacher, and now that she was faced with what she had done, she was beginning to think all of it had been a bad idea. A very bad idea.

  24. My parents are both teachers. That is not why I am successful; I work hard. Teachers are criticized because they are important. One good teacher can shape a life.

  25. Don’t be afraid.
    That’s what she said.
    It’s going to be okay.
    But how could it?
    I was so young…
    So stupid…
    It’s going to be okay.
    She said.

  26. mrs. gellman was my 1st grade teacher but only for the last few months of the school year. she was really nice and i wish i had had her for longer. but mrs. waite was a good teacher, too. i wanted to call her mrs. white because of her hair color (silvery gray/white). she was the one who taught me how to connect the dots. had yogurt covered almonds on her desk.

  27. she stared at the teacher, rage in her eyes. “NO” she replied . the teacher kept her finger pointed to the corner that Mary hated “i said you get time out! now go” “NO!!” Mary repeated this time a little more angry than the last five times. she wasn’t going to listen to anyone that wasn’t her mommy.

  28. i remember my 1st grade teacher mrs. gellman. she was only my teacher for a few months; before her, mrs. waite was my teacher before her. i kept wanting to call her mrs. white, because her hair was quite white.

  29. “I’m doing my report on 17,” Mitchell said as he walked to the front of the class. “So why 17,” Ms. Abrams, the teacher, raised her hand and asked. “What makes it so special to you?” “Well,” Mitchell replied. “It’s the first one that doesn’t really mean anything. It’s like this: 2 has all those dualities. 3 is father, son, and holy ghost, or life, death and rebirth. Five has five elements. 7 is luck. 11 is the first in the double digits, plus you know, the whole 7-11 thing. And 13 is unlucky or at least it’s gotten a really bad rap. Then, comes 17, and basically it’s just a prime number.”

  30. Teachers are great people. They are responsible for educating the entire world. They also don’t get paid very much. In Wisconsin they had a strike because the governor was being a dick about collective bargaining rights, so now they don’t have any. Oh well.

    Serena
  31. Mentor. Perception is shaped through knowledge and knowledge is shaped by teachers. Power. Influence. Teaching the next generation. What is taught becomes reality and truth.

  32. Nevermind…
Why can’t I think of anything to write for teacher. I start with ‘My teacher is a…’ and end up deleting it because I don’t know what to end it with…

  33. The teacher was tall, her back was straight and her gaze never wavered. Despite the roughness of her looks, behind her eyes was a hint of sadness that lingered just under the surface. I was only ten years old and I could see it. It was easily overlooked, it most likely would have been simpiler to dislike her just like every other classmate but could you honestly know what was going on in someones life just by seeing them for a couple hours a day? No, I would remember that she was once a little girl like me, and I too would have to deal with things in this life that I was not ready for. And I would meet people, maybe even children that couldn’t begin to comprehend what I had seen or done.

  34. A mind to fill, an empty glass to pour into without abandon, the essence, the desire that is instilled in all who wish to teach. It is this, this empty glass, this desire that drives on those who actually teach; and those who teach do this one noble act: they teach another the ability to learn, to listen, to grow.

  35. Grandpa wasn’t a very good teacher. He was gruff, and quiet and very blunt. When I was a child, I didn’t like being around him very much. He intimidated me, and I didn’t like that I never knew what he was thinking. As I grew older, however, I began to cherish the silent moments I had with him. He taught me how to fish, whittle, throw a baseball, and shoot a bow and arrow. We didn’t talk much, but we didn’t have to, and I felt like I knew so much about him even though we barely spoke. Now there’s a different kind of silence in my Grandpa’s house. A cold, empty silence that means he’s not there anymore. Sometimes I sit in the old rocking chair by the front porch and think of him, quiet, peaceful and calm as I rock back and forth, never saying a word.

  36. A teacher’s job is to teach a student a certain subject. But they often try to avoid the fact that the student will forget everything that was taught to him/her during the summer.

  37. Immediately I think, “This teacher has got to be insane.” The lady has a curly mane of pee green hair and plump purple lips. She wears a tie-dyed dress, covered with little plastic dragons that look to have been shoddily super glued to the fabric, that fits her- ahem- curves in a rather unfortunate manner.

  38. soemone who shows you what to do and helps you grow and learn from any thing. Somoene who is knowleageable and compassinoate. One who is passionate about learning throughtout life and one who has a strong desire to help others learn throughout their life. Educational or not- a teacher is one who helps others strive to be their best.

  39. The teacher came inside the classroom, making all the students go quiet.
“We’re going to have a pop quiz today.”
She watched in contentment as the students groaned. As they all settled down on their desks and pulled out their writing materials, she started passing out the dreaded tests.
“All right, kids. You’ve got thirty minutes.”
She looked at each and every one of the students.
    “Go.”
