Probably the worst advice I’ve ever received. Because not only does it not work, it makes you think more. Think about you, think about me, think about why. One can spend hours torturing oneself by weighing the pros and cons about whether your life would have been better if you’d never me. And then I start thinking about my failures, and wonder how many more times I’ll fail. Then I think about next year and whether my choice is even close to the right one. Then I think about that math test next week.
Then I think about whether or not I really needed that cookie. Then I think that I think too much.
