  4. The wallpaper on my computer is something a boy I know drew. For me. Because I liked Kirby. But he’ll never really know how much he means to me, how much his smile brightens up my world. Sure, this seems completely corny. You may tell me to get a life, but he’s the one I want in it. He’ll never know, he will never know.

  10. wallpaper? well. when i was a kid i had a patterned one all around the border of my room. i shared it with my brother till first grade, when we got our actual beds, instead of cribs. they were strange bed/crib things. our parents thought we were cute until then. but i guess once we hit actual numbered grades, we stopped being cute and started being creepy.

  14. She stared at the wallpaper, not wanting to move. It was the most vivid color she had ever seen, and yet there were subdued designs within it… She squinted, trying to make them out. Was that… a person? Or a tree? Grinning in delight at this new game she had discovered, she sat on the wooden floor and began to trace the designs with her small finger.

  16. I read a book called The Yellow Wallpaper once that sucked a LOT. When I was a kid, I had stupid wallpaper in my room that was really embarrassing when I looked at it later. Wallpaper is mostly stupid. I think it’s tacky and gross and will never have it in my house. I wish other people didn’t either. Painting looks sooooo much better.

  31. The lightning is my wallpaper, ironically something I fear. Why did I put it there, where I can see it perfectly clearly? I don’t understand why, but the streak of lightning appears so gorgeous to me, even though I’m afraid of it. Is it perhaps a beauty that I’m afraid or unwilling to embrace?

  39. After moving to Vermont, I had decided to knock on the door of a nearby mansion just to say hello. As I raised my hand, a draft blew the door open and I foolishly stepped inside. In an instant, the door slammed shut behind me. The crumbling yellow wallpaper in the foyer clearly established that this building was in disrepair. Shrugging, I began to explore the house.

  40. The supreme overload towered over the city. She held a knife above her head, proud at what she had done. The boy lay defenseless on the ground, eyes gouged out, empty as nothing. The blackness consumed him and all he could see were the stars that used to be in the sky, before the overlord came. She wielded the bloody knife with power and screamed into the air, You are now under My Command.
