  2. The color of your walls can say a lot. It can say what you’ve done, where you’ve been or who you even are. And sometimes, it can tell stories about things that you never even think about anymore. It’s something that we don’t give a lot of credit, but it’s something that should at least be appreciated.

  3. i don’t have any wallpaper in my house but i think we used to. all our walls are painted. but we do have panels in one of our rooms. actually it’s the one i’m sitting in now. i think wallpaper is sort of ugly actually, i mean, what’s wrong with just painting the wall? wallpaper peels too much and it doesn’t look very nice.

  4. I have a wallpaper as my background on my computer. What? I don’t know. that didn’t make any sense. I’m really confused at the moment. My neck hurts and the word wallpaper is ugly. It reminds me of that gross stuff they use to put it up. It smells really bad. I remember when I was a little girl I’d walk in and my father would be using that stuff and I’d just get a headache. It smelled so bad. I didn’t like the smell of it at all.

  6. The stuff i helped my mother put up on our walls with a paste she boiled on the stove. It smelled for weeks afterward, but the walls were pretty. My mother was very artistic and the seams were perfect.

  7. It’s a delicate process, re-modeling these old homes in a manner that makes them appear realistic enough for the tourists. You have to recreate the processes, no shortcuts. And thus wallpapering is the worst of all: spread a thin coat of paint, paste the sheet, on repeat until you could believe Martha Washington had overseen the process.

  8. is ugly and sticky and can cause divorce if done in a small bathroom with a married couple, so be careful to pick wallpaper u like so you can keep it for a long long time..

  10. The girl stared at the corner of the tearing wallpaper. Faded flowers, unattractive paisley, the musty smell of years of memories…She reached toward the wall and pulled the corner toward the floor. Good bye memories.

  13. The wallpaper was ripped and faded. It was obvious that the house had not had life in it for decades. The pair of cops slowly made their way through the living room.

  16. The wallpaper looked ill, as if it were about to vomit onto the carpet. Still, they decided to leave it up. For decades. Once you commit to a decision like that, there’s no turning back; to admit you were wrong is to admit weakness of mind.

  17. Covers the walls. Sometimes they’re tacky, and sometimes they’re outdated. Who invented it, I wonder? I mean paint seems more fun, and you can do what you want with a room. But, who wouldn’t want Scooby-Doo 800 times on your walls? Or 1,000 baskets of the same fruit? Sounds fun at first, but I bet it gets old.

  21. I love to peel wallpaper off the walls. There is nothing better than having a spray bottle full of liquid fabric softener, watch it fall down the walls and absorb into the paper and then peel it off in long strips.

  26. The wallpaper was cracked and peeling in places. Roaches scuttled across the floor. The room stank of mildew and baser filth never properly cleaned up. He immediately rejected his body’s idea to vomit, carrying his little brother to the one and only bed.

  27. I looked up at the wall, covered in its disgusting, orange-ish colored wallpaper.
Earlier that morning, I had seen the beautiful wall for what it was. It used to be creamy eggshell white, almost a yellowish color. But now, the bitch had covered it with this disgusting sienna.
I was absolutely mortified. I would also be one to blame, as I helped put it up, but couldn’t there have been better taste? This was my father’s wall, and she had ruined it.

  37. The perks of being a wallflower. The wall paper in my friend’s house is ridiculous. I didn’t think anyone still had the audacity to have that sort of thing on their walls still today. Flat, sticky, Willy wonka. Snausberries.

she opened her book and tried to read
but the sea of colors called to her
    beckoned her from her reprieve
and shook her to her very core
reminding her of her own rainbow inside
reminding her to no longer hide

  40. These green layers throughout my home,
Wishing I’d never been so boneless.
If I were to know what wood holds inside,
then I could empty out the hollow confides.
When walking down the hallway of flowers,
Furthest away I’ve ever been from lonely.
