So very hard.
It’s got no holes
so it’s tough
I wish I were a brick
Wish i wouldn’t cry in front of them
wish i could be tough as bricks
but in wishing that
i diminish what i really wish for-
to drop the walls and socialize
to be with others.

She stared at he brick wall in front of her. It was an array of mismatched bricks and mortar. Some bricks were bigger than others, or a tint darker than the rest. Others were pockmarked with dents and dips. A few were damaged to the point where she wondered how the wall managed to stay as strong as it was.

It fell through the sky
The way feathers don’t.
And all I could think was
Oh shit oh shit! Please, no.
But, too late. I couldn’t
Help but get hit.
By the stupid brick.
Damn you brick.

The sorrow settled heavy in her stomach like a brick, and it lingered even longer than the echo of the slamming kitchen door

I wanna build you up brick by brick. Brick’s are red. They are the founder of creation and assist creativity. Brick’s are stone cold walls.

She sees it from afar — the old district building with its blocks bearing colours with strange names like beige and taupe and wenge, and she thinks, finally, she’s home, dear God, I can lay my bones down and rest

Raw and red, freshly hardened, it descended the length of the building in a matter of seconds. She never saw it coming.
She was simply walking, arm in arm with another man.
He wouldn’t have it.
He had to stop it.
He was aiming for the man.
He hit her instead.

brick by brick i will put her heart back together, because that’s how you ruined it. Brick by Brick.
And when i’m done, it will be stronger than before, each brick held in place strongly and now big bad wolf like you will blow it down ever again.

Twenty-one sixteen Elizabeth Avenue: a corner house in the suburbs, near a busy street. A bush of poisonous angel’s trumpets growing in the side yard. Magnolia trees in the front and back. My name written in the sidewalk out front from the time we got new cement. It was a brick house, painted taupe and navy by my mom.

i wish i was a brick kind of person. hard and sure of myself, you know? that’d be cool. but im more like pudding. limp and not strong enough. inside and out. i dont know who i am and i let people influence me too much. but someday im gonna be a brick. im gonna know who i am and what i believe in. im gonna stand proud and strong and no one will be able to break me. and I will actually be proud of who i am for once. someday :)

Something so hard yet when thrown on the ground it can be shattered into a million pieces, just like my heart.

Bricks are the building blocks, quite literally, of most buildings I guess. I always wanted to live in a brick house with vines growing all around. then noone could huff and puff and blow anything down!
By Adreanna on 08.08.2011

She’s a brick house. What does that even mean? Do I want to be a brick house? Does that mean I’m hard as a rock? Is talking to me like talking to a wall? What does it mean!!?

I like bricks.
Bricks, and stuff.
Uhh… Dang it. I feel like Kelso.
Also it took me about 5 attempts to spell stuff.
They’re red or whatever.

it was sitting alone in the middle of the street, causing cars to swerve slightly to get around. just one brick, not matching any of the houses in the area. it looked deliberately placed, but why would someone leave a brick in the middle of the road? in any other neighbourhood this would have raised suspicion, but on Birchwood street it was just one of many strange occurrences in the past week.

All she wanted to do was build a brick wall up and around herself; to block everyone and everything out and to be alone once and for all.
By Emma URL on 08.08.2011
There it sat in the wall. Just a brick. Joined in a group with others that looked like it. Faded chipped and alone in a crowd but still it was different inspite being the same. No one ever saw this. Just saw a brick.

i love my old brick building, peeling paint and all.

Brick is the color of hard work. It is a hot summer day when the sweat forms in beads running down your back. Hot. Sweaty…………….but solid.

cuz she’s a briiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiick, house. :)
By j on 08.08.2011
The bricks on the abandoned house were very rigid and sharp. The erosion from the powerful rain and wind had filed the smooth edges down like sand paper. The bricks used to be a very pretty red color, but were now splotched with grey and brown.

i was staring at a brick and suddenly it flew at my face and due to the pain and damage it caused i was rushed to the hospital…the doctor at the hospital said i had seven days to live since the brick hit some special place in my brain and now its bruised and yada yada….now im doing everything ive always wanted to do including stealing some fruity alcohol drinks which only quickens my death date….imma die tomorrow then ill go to heaven or hell

brick. brick! brick theres a fucking brick in the fucking road! why don’t you fucking aaaahhhhhh! booomph. and then the airbag exploded as we hit not only the brick, which really was more like a large stone, but also the sheep that suddenly darted into the road, much faster than most sheep. BAAAAA, it said.

And just like adding new bricks to the mold, I tried to rebuild my fractured life. I wanted to move forward, but I wanted to do it right. I could never fully get over the loss of family; the good and bad memories would forever be stuck in my mind. But it was much easier to forget the people in my life that weren’t worth my time. I just had to figure out a way to leave them behind without frustration or melancholy.

bricks are used one houses, including the popular song. Yes, she is a brick house, break as being strong and unbreakable, the three pigs and the big bad wolfe. He couldn’t blow down the brick house could he? Strong and unbreakable. Someone is refered to as a brick if the aren’t sensitive and are not easily hurt.

They all painted bricks to use as door stops because the doors to their dorm rooms were so heavy. Every day, when they each returned from class, they propped open their doors. They were available to each other, arms and doors wide open.

Bricks are on walls. I would like to smash myself in the face with a brick half the time of my life. I( would also like to hit others with bricks too when they annoy me and make me pissed. Bricks can come in handy and I imagine them being pretty damn cheap. Am I right?

A fallen brick hides as the sea fades from shore
The girl who grew there saw the birds fly over the sinking sun
As the waves rip away that the brick that sits upon the every changing beach
Her soul and youth vanquish into the dust
As her life carries on over the tide and the brick erodes with time

a wall why is it there but to stand guard against things that cannot be seen in the darkness, the darkness representing vulnarablility which is why a wall has been established, the root of fear lies in the unknown and that is rediculous.
