  3. Dominant….. I don’t know, when a person is stronger than another, I am sure it’s a word written a lot in 50 Shades of Grey, perhaps I should give it a go! What is the opposite of dominant, weak? submissive???????

  4. The idea of having a leader in power held the dominant vote. And I held the dominant vote for who should get the job. But that wasn’t right. I had never asked for this kind of power. I was going to screw it all up. But they wouldn’t listen…

  8. What is a dominant person? Is it someone who takes control, or just someone who is more than another submissive person. And who decides who gets to be dominant. Can one decide that they’re going to be dominant themselves. Can they decide without the opinion or approval or submission of others. I guess dominance requires submission to exist. they’re like yin and yang. One can’t exist without the other.

  9. It’s basically impossible not think about sex when you hear the word dominant. However, I also think about abuse, and cruelty. How can two words, with such different meanings attached to each, respectively, have something so obvious in common?

  16. This reminds me of the book 50 Shades of Grey. It’s not a great book, narrative-wise but everyone seemed to like it for some reason. Mr Grey was the dominant and Ana was the submissive. This word also reminds me of ‘dominant males’ in the animal kingdom. Lions and stuff. It also reminds me that I’m a pretty weak person, not at all dominant. Not with my friends or with my family.

  22. one person theeds to be dominatn and the other not so much in a relaitionship. or at ;east one that works well. not necessarily always and in every situation, the role can switch between the two. so the submisive can at times be the dominat.

  28. i am not a dominant person. i don’t like to make decisions on my own and i don’t like to tell people what to do. i would love to encourage someone. not tell them what to do or how to do something. the things that stick with people the most are things they’ve come to realize on their own. i don’t ever want to interfere with someone else’s coming to a realization.

  29. This is a very interesting word. To consider that one is dominant over another. Its almost annoying. Dominance shouldn’t be something considered good bat rather something that is not regarded at all in society. White supremacy is a good representation of something that shouldn’t be considered good at any point.

  32. He was so much stronger than I was. He was physically overpowering, and he was emotionally controlling. He wanted to know everything I did and if he didn’t like it I was supposed to fix it. It was some sort of fifty shades ****. He was the dominant and I was the submissive, but that’s not going to happen anymore.

  38. Dominant is a funny word to bring up just now. Maybe not just now but always? I mean when I think of dominant I think about sex. But I think maybe that could be the trick about this exercise.
