  1. Mister Stunning and Miss Sputnik fell in love on New Year’s Day. Sadly, they were tied to other things and other people at the time, and never acted on how they felt. Time passed and eventually they grew apart. Come New Year’s Day, Sputnik will think of Stunning, and giddy the sensation of falling, and wonder why she let him go.

  2. From the first time I laid eyes on it, and every time since, Fox Theatre was positively stunning – a radiant array of lights bleeding out into the darkness, an art deco beacon amongst the renovation and ruin. It was salient then, and even now it stands, at least in my memory, a glorious bastion to behold.

  3. My spectacular girlfriend’s use of superlatives is absolutely stunning.

  4. When Margie looked down, into the beautiful waterfall, she knows she has to do it. End it all. Jump off, and kill herself. Suddenly, out of nowhere, Tyrone appears next to her, grabbing her by the hand. “Don’t do it,” he tells her. “I have to. My life’s over. I have nothing to live for. Everyone hates me. My own mother called me ugly,” Margie answers, crying. “Well, you’re mother was very wrong. You’re stunning.”

  5. The stars. This night. It’s stunning. Just being with you. Being close to you. It’s electric. This is what love should feel like. This is what I have been missing. You’re what I want; what I need.

  6. Stunning. The sights, the way the sun glinted off the skyscrapers, the bustle, the way the trees cuddled against the sidewalks. The most stunning city in the world.

  7. Stunning. To be… stunned. Stunned by the violent scenes of machetes and by the tenacity. Stunned by the need that the world has for people like him, and by the fear that she might just be one of those. That her redness may, one day, not be that of well kept ginger hair, but that of well destroyed people.

    by Kirsten on 11.23.2011
  8. the sunset, red, gold and purple was quite stunning.

  9. Stunning. And yet… the look of brokenness… but the ability… but the brokenness… but the love, but the potential, but that achievement, but the character. But the brokenness. What a wonderfully stunning person.

    by Kirsten on 11.23.2011
  10. You are indeed stunning. A radiant being that was brought down in a light from God. You are blinding. You are my light, my life, my sun, my stars. You are my everything, and forever I will be with you.

  12. The train station seems to freeze.
Black shapes make up umbrellas and passersby in dark coats, the metallic sexless dictation of gate numbers and times sounds overhead.

You smile, a mess of laugh-lines and chapped lips.

  13. “Simply Stunning”. Words usually used to describe a beautiful gown or a diamond ring. Not for me. I want a simply stunning life please. I want to sip steaming tea in the early morning awakening rays of sunshine. I want to sit in the sun on the old concrete step with a cat at my side. i want to savour the smell and taste of butter and vegemite on home made bread toast. I want to share a glass of wine with my best half at sundown looking out over the hills and river. Please.

  14. The girl was absolutely stunning. Her hair was long, stray strands floated away from her face in the breeze. They were transparent- you could see the sun right through them. Her voice was like running water, consistently pouring out notes that flowed together in a natural harmony.

  15. She was stunning, but I hated her. I wanted to melt her face away with sulfuric acid, if I could ever get my hands on it. I wanted to see how much she flesh could withstand. She was stunning, but shallow.

  16. your words caught me off guard and your face became my knight in shining armour. i had never seen or heard such beauty but i knew, seeing you, that i had seen the utmost in the divine that this earthly prison had to offer. all i could wish for was to reach the heavens and see such a visage again.

  17. She was fairly good looking, nice smile, slim legs, tight bum, but it was the way she held herself — upright, confident and correct — and the way she wielded that iron bar that made her stunning. Frequently. Leaving a trail of broken heads and mangled bodies behind her. In private and behind locked doors some said she took her feminism just a teeny weeny tiny bit too seriously.

  18. She was stunned. He looked at her in a way that made all the stars pale in comparison. He radiated. His scarred, horrifying face, radiated love and compassion. She knew what her choice would be.

  19. It was stunning. To imagine her beauty that we admired three days a week battered and bruised and laying cold and lifeless on a train track. Stunning, shocking? It doesn’t matter when you realize that all that you are jealous of is so fragile, and everything is so stupid in comparison to human life.

  20. She was stunning, absolutely stunning. She stole the crowds breathe away as she waltzed down that deep burgundy carpet. Her red 4 inch pumps and large black feathered hat fit like a glove on her five year old body, she decided. Her mother was so stylist, always matching from the pearls nestles onto her ears to the color dabbed across her lips. Penelope saw the way the men watched her mother out the corner of their eyes as she entered a crowded room. But her mama’s favorite accessory, she would tell Penny, is a mega-watt smile. “Girl, you gotta smile to win those hearts over! And when you win a heart, you win the world”. And make her mama proud, she would!
The crowd started beckoning her to the stage in a glorious chant, singing ‘Penny Heart! Give us Penny Heart!’… and she turned to the stage and took a deep breath. She had practiced this same ritual in this same mirror a thousand times. How proud is her mama is going to be knowing that her own little Penelope Heart just won the award for best smile EVER!

  24. she was the most beautiful horse I had ever seen. Seven hands high, glossy brown coat, and hooves that shinelike polished wood. I was stunned. And to now know that I was her new owner.
Mary they called her. Mary instantly reminded me of “merry” as my gut feeling of true love. She was glorious and when Our eyes met, she knew my admiration. I couldn’t hold it in. I breathed deeply and I swear I saw her smile. Stunning, I thought to my self.

  30. She stepped through the crowd, making her way under the disco ball in the middle of the dance floor. Her dress was stunning, even breath-taking. She had curly chocolate brown hair and crystal blue eyes. Her dress was green with ribbon and lace. She looked so sweet and innocent, like an angel. She seemed to be dancing with a few friends, but not with just one person. I asked my date, just a friend I came with to excuse me. I lifted my dress and made my way to her, through the crowd. “Madam, you look amazing. May I have this dance?” I asked her. She smiled and we danced the night away.

  31. It means something is extremely amazing. It is unbelievable. It goes over the normal norm and most of the people admire it. Some people get shocked or freeze when they see something “stunning”. You could also say that it means just pretty, beautiful or something like that.

  32. His fingers seemed to burn against my skin, the heat of him stunning. I blinked up, saying nothing, and he crouched down beside me.

I blinked at him, fire running across my skin outwards from where he was making contact with me.

    “Lucy?”

He shook my arm slightly, and I didn’t resist the motion.

  34. I wish I was stunning. Everyone wants to be stunning right? Everyone wants to walk in to the room, with all eyes on them. It’s all I’ve ever strived to be. I emulate stunning people, I try to act just like them, treat others just like they do, so I will be admired and wanted and loved. Sometimes I succeed — sometimes I feel stunning. But why is it so important? I wish it wasn’t. I wish I didn’t have to work so hard to be stunning. I wish I could just be me.

  40. Hey you little lass, you look stunning. You look stunning enough for me to finger you with my penis. I think this, but I don’t say it. I stroll up to the lass, take her hand, caress it with my lips, and ask her to dance. Of course she says yes because I’m stunning myself. Whilst dancing, I proceed to stick my hand slowly up her dress. She says, is that your penis?!? No I say, my penis is smaller.
