There is a book called The Girl with the Pearl Earring which I started but never finished. I don't know why, it was good.

I was originally going to write about the actual thing, as in the thing you build houses with. However, I thought I would be different and write about "being a brick" It is a rather old fashioned English term used to describe someone who is good and dependable.
