As he flipped over the bars, Estin caught sight of the dark haired man again. What would such a person be doing in a gymnasium, much less the ratty one he was in? He didn't know, but he couldn't dwell on such matters as he managed to land his triple backflip.
"You simply must come in and have a light brunch with us~" the woman twittered. The Traveler was slightly uneasy. It was rare that anyone wanted to so much as -talk- to him, let alone eat a meal with him. However, his mother always taught him to be polite, so he nodded his head and followed the lovely lady inside, not knowing his fate was about to change with that one simple meal.
"I will need a volunteer for this next demonstration, Ladies and Gents~ Anyone willing to volunteer?" The Ringmaster asked. The audience was filled with hushed murmurs before one single soul raised their hand.

The words of the song echo painfully in Alekz' ears as he tries not to cry. He had broken up with people, and been broken up with many times, but it had never been so exquisitely painful as it was right then...
The town was silent as the night wore on. It was midnight, and the Daemon was coming. His long white hair flowed softly in the wind as he strode through, searching for prey. This night, however, there were only cats.
The sweat poured off Jens as he fought his way through the Astarian desert. "all will be well, she is worth it. All will be well, she is worth it" he repeated to himself with each step and labored breath he took. If not for her, he reasoned, he wouldn't even have the legs upon which he was walking. That alone, he reasoned, was more than enough of a motive to go and rescue her...
The basket weaver was hard at work, making what would eventually be known as the most important creation of his career. Not then, of course, would it be recognized, but eventually, unbeknownst to everyone, that simple, innocent basket - and it's creator - would save their world.
The lantern was floating carelessly above the stars, not having any idea the significance of its purpose. It did not know that the man who would find it would be moved to tears by its radiating light. It did not know that the one who had sent it was desperate, the colourful paper her only hope.
