The color drifted slowly to me. Like a silk scarf. It gently landed, draping itself across my hand. I rubbed the violet silk between my fingers, and smiled.
"Ouch!" She screamed. "Quit hitting me! Why are you so violent?" But the cactus merely cackled and swung its rather large arms at her face again and again.
Don't be mean! You never know what kindness can do for someone. (Or even yourself!) You could be even entertaining angels! Today, go out of your way to do something nice for someone. Even if you don't know them. Have an amazing day! It's my 19th Birthday by the way!
I helped the old woman back into her chair. "Are you alright?" I asked worried. She smiled feebly but a single tear rolled down her cheek. "Thank you. I think I've got it."
What I have given you is a precious gift. Don't take it for granted, don't squander it away in your mind. Take it for what it is and cherish it deep within. I have given you my heart. Thank you for what you have given me.
I finally was finishing up braiding the little girls hair wrap. Once i was finished, she looked up at me with hopeful eyes. "There. All done!" I pulled up a mirror and a smile spread across her face. After hopping down from the chair, she turned and looked at me and said, "Just like my mommy used to do!"
Honesty is a beautiful thing. It has helped shape our world and move us forward in many ways. Through honesty comes trust, understanding, and companionship. If everyone were honest with one another and could take constructive criticism, the world would be a better place.
