'Charity!'
I turned my head as I heard my name being called.
'Charity! There you are! We've been searching for so long! Where were you?'
'Right here.' I calmly replied. Staring into the vast ocean, trying to figure out where the sky meets the water.
'What are you doing here?'
I had no answer.
I just stood there. My feet slowly sinking into the sand.
'Come, let's go home.' He said, pulling my arm.
I shook his hand off me and continued staring silently. Hoping that I would completely sink into the sand. So I could lie with the seashells, and one day, find my way back to the sea.
*Boom*
The sound was followed by intense darkness.
Thoughts of fleeing passed her mind.
But she realized it was too late for that.
She dropped all inhibitions and prepared herself for what was to come.
'A pint of beer' I heard a husky voice behind me.
I turned around to see the exact opposite of what I was expecting.
I saw a clean shaven man in business attire, with eyes that roared courage.
He didn't look like a person who belonged in a suit and tie.
She sat in the corner. In the dark.
She didn't know what the world meant anymore.
She felt lost. She had given it all she had.
She had put a facade and been brave,
She had nothing left anymore.
Everything she had she gave,
Now, she's done.
'I aspire to be a stylist.'
'Why'
'So I have the freedom.'
'Freedom?'
'Yeah. Most people are too shy to talk to their stylist. They also trust their stylists completely.'
'So'
'So, each person can be my own little experiment' He said with a wicked smile.
Today I went to market to get some groceries. As I walked towards the fruit shop, I saw a bright flash of red.
It vanished as soon as it appeared.
I don't know why, but it was very comforting.
The red was calming. Intriguing. It called out to me.
He was always like that.
With his head high and ego carried above him, he was always so maddening. His voice made my hair stand up, his scent made my head spin. Looking at him was like staring up at the sun without any protection.
He was always like that.
Always so difficult.
