The children lined up on the streets all turned their heads at the sound of the drum. The band was coming! The parade was starting! The kids all cheered, some pulling on their mother's clothes to inform them, others being picked up by their fathers to get a better look. The pounding of the drum kept a steady beat while the trumpets blew out a unique sound. The children were absolutely delighted.
The booming noise commanded the town's attention. No one could avoid the rumbling roars or the frightening claps. To some it was danger. To others it was music. To everyone it was a storm.
