I feel like I've been defying a lot of things over the last few years, with my sobriety, with my sexual identity, and my relationships. I'm very happy where I've gotten to at this point.

I never really intended to drop out of school, but life wasn't going the way I wanted it to be. I left school, and decided to do a year of service with AmeriCorps. It was the best time of my life, and I'm doing it again this year. Unplanned things sometimes become the best choices you'll ever have.
I looked at my phone, and realized that I could be caught simply by tracking my whereabouts. Quickly I threw it down on the pavement and stomped as hard as I could on it, and plucked the battery as well as the chip from the shattered mess and flung them into the Hudson river. I looked down on the ground again and sighed. I had to buy another phone.
All of the mistakes that stand out
Are forever stamped with sadness
Framed with pain
But laid out in plain sight
As a reminder
So I can see how they shaped
Into who I am
To this day
And that isn't a bad thing at all
Because if not for those mistakes
I would not be anything at all
No life would be at stake
i would describe myself as easygoing, but then i think that's the kind of word i would hurriedly pick when someone asks me what i'm like. it's a word that's easy to pull out of thin air, in my opinion.
I don't wash my hair often, like it should be by society's standards, but when I don't - I get fab hair after straightening it. Oil is good for your hair's health. Don't strip it.
In a way, I am domestic on the outer shell. Quiet, withdrawn, and calm - but inside, I am just as wild as can be. I only allow myself to let loose when everything is all fucked up. When that happens, I go all out and lose myself for a while. It's a good feeling.
When I was younger, I loved to go camp with my mom and my first stepfather. I would always bring extra batteries for my Gameboy Color (it was purple) and I had this teeny booklight that I could plug in and play games. I also liked reading in my tent with my flashflight.
I've never found a four-leafed clover. Sometimes I wonder if I found one, would it change my life? At this point in life, I need Felix Felicius a lot more than just a four-leafed clover. What good does a plant do, anyways?
