  5. A brick is not an object, as one might think. A brick is a complicated, and not entirely tangible being. Yes, being. Bricks have minds, like all of us. They have feelings, albeit heavy ones, and make just as many mistakes as humans. We should respect our fellow bricks no matter their color, shape or size…or what they comprise.

  16. i remember being younger and hiding from my parents on the side of the house and sneaking cigarettes and feeling the texture of the brick leaning against the red brick. noone ever went on that side of the house and it was like my own little get away. surronded by trees. I miss that innocence

  22. bricks are found all over this red house. it is stacked into neat rows like any other one. what is that gray stuff in between the bricks? I only know that it helps the bricks stay together. i don’t think that can ever be separated. huh.

  28. i like houses made out of bricks. also, the song brick house makes me dance like crazy. it’s like once you start you can’t stop. bricks can also be kind of eerie…in a haunting way. they give me a sense that something is older because it is not used as much.

  29. Bricks keep things in place. They need help though. Concrete helps. We all needs someone or something to keep us in place, even if we don’t realize it. I like to think of myself as a brick. Strong, but needing.
