It seems everyone is a photographer now. But that’s ok.

  21. It’s said that when a person dies, their life flashes before their eyes. The same is also true when a person dies in their heart. A stumble or a trip and all the snapshots and memories of who we were fling from our clumsy hands and drift slowly to the ground. And we pause, prostrate in the mud, and gaze around us at the moments frozen in the little squares and rectangles. We watch the colors blur and the images wash away as moisture seeps into the paper. Then hot tears streak down our stone faces because not only are the old feelings and memories fading, but we realize they never mattered. Not to us, not to any one. The camera shattered against the rocks when we fell, and there is no longer any reason to pick ourselves up. Face down in the mud, darkness swallows us.

  22. Her camera flashed once, twice, thrice. The pictures were taken and no one could take them back. That was the beauty of it, they were already in the world. These people could kill her, torture her, hurt her till she screamed and screamed, but they would already be out in the world. It was too late for them and they know it. She smirked at them, at their open, frightened, confused faces. It was worth it. She might as well be dead now, but it was worth it.

  23. Another milestone, another photo op to be placed in the album chronicling the story of our life. Memories frozen in time? More like reminders of of how much things have changed, or, perhaps, how much they haven’t changed. I guess it depends on what lens you look through.

  24. So many inside jokes and memories, so many happy times just out the door. I’m losing you, and there is nothing I can do. We were inseparable, but so different. I wish I could help you but I can’t. I just wish things could go back to the times where we were happy. I wish we could go back to “camera.”
