My camera is mystical and magical. Everything it takes pictures of is in black and white. I don’t know how it does it. I probably never will. It it’s amazing. It takes everyday life and rips the colors from it. It is completely and utterly amazing.
Jethro
I look at those cherished times captured by my antiqued and decrepit camera. I wish I could just step through that white bordered landscape and relive those moments in which I had happiness, I had everything, I had you.
Presto
I wish I had a professional camera. If I could afford one it’d be the first thing to buy. I just want one to take crystal clear pictures of all of my memories with my friends. I’d frame them and everything. Ah. My dreams that are unrealistic haha.
Cassie
I saved up all summer my senior year for my NIkon d80 and I loved it! But I now, I barely touch it. It’s such a shame. My granddaddy was a photographer and through my uncle Tim, taught me everything I know. Photography was my passion for awhile. I wish I could get that back.
Gives you the ability to look at anything, capture your perspective and beauty of life.
Hannah
The camera was square in front of her face as the question left the reporter’s mouth. She plastered on a sickly sweet, overripe smile at the obvious twinkle in his eye – the classic “gotcha” look.
If she wasn’t the president of the United States, she might’ve smacked him. God she wanted to.
“Yes, David,” she said. “It’s true.”
Mia
I looked through the eye of the camera and turned the focus. i was aiming for the beautiful landscape, what I zeroed in on was the betrayal of someone close to my heart. I snapped the picture before I knew I blinked.
Weird. I just found my camera today. I moved into my apartment a year ago almost exactly and I thought that I had lost my camera in the move. I just found it like an hour ago. Awesome. :)

i don’t know how to take pictures but sometimes other people take awesome pictures and I always wish I could. I also wish I had good grammar skills. Seriously though. I wish I took more pictures throughout high school. i want to print out some to make a collage for college. I want people to see my life and know who i am.
Maham Tirmizi
my dad always carried a camera. he loves taking pictures, for any event. my entire life is documented because he always had a camera. even if i didn’t want him too. he took a picture of me one time of me crying. i hated it. i loved though, that he taught me not to be ashamed of who i was, who i am. the camera always reflects the real thing, and he was proud of that.

This is my good side, but it’s not so good with the lights on.
I just love cameras. Give me a camera and I can entertain myself for hours. Maybe even forever. I just want a really good camera, like a Nikon or a Canon or something like that. A real camera. So that I could properly capture all that life has to offer. My life. The good, the bad, the ugly, the beautiful. Just everything.
Annie
shooting in the woods at night trying to be seen by the moon in the sky. my feet are sore and my back is aching but i will shoot on. i must, the answer is on the other side of this lens somewhere. hawoooooooo, hawooooooo, the lame wolf cries in the night

They happen quick.
Take a photo. Remember, always.
When does the time stop? Pause? None, there is none.

The woman who calls herself my mother held the camera up.
“I don’t want to take a photo.” I say
“I know sweetheart, but please for me?” she says sounding like a child.
“WHY THE HELL WOULD I DO ANYTHING FOR YOU, YOU DIRTY BITCH!” I scream. I look at her face and suddenly I feel so guilty. What have I done?
Maddy
I had this camera once, when I was little. It was a poloriod, the type that developed the film on one of those square pieces. A few year’s ago I found a stack of those pictures and started to flip through them. I thought that it would be filled with summer and people. Instead there was only winter and animals. I had a lonely childhood, filled with stuffed animals and pets. But now my pictures come from a digital camera and are filled with people.
Ellie
“Life sucks” she complains
“Can you at least pretend to be happy for the camera?” I say, my voice thick of annoyance.
“Whatever.” she says, and forces a fake smile on her face.
“That’s better” I smile and snap a photo.
Maddy
i took a photo last year of my dog. she didn’t look to pretty but i like the picture well enough. shes dead now… died today. i wish i had taken more pictures with that camera. now i have to keep going, keep clicking. good thing i have a second dog.
Alex
I grab the camera from her pale hands and snap a quick photo of the setting sun. Its so beautiful I want to cry, life is full of surprises.
Maddy
I like cameras. They force you to truly see what is all around you. It let’s you see the world with beginners mind. With the eyes of a child you see familiar things as brand new, full of vibrancy, meaning, a technocolor dreamscape that is life.
Jessica

“Smile for the camera!”
“I have been smiling for the camera my entire life. For as long as I can remember, my parents made me sit in front of their stupid camera and smile, like nothing was wrong with my life. I had to pretend everything was sunshine and roses for them, just to make them happy. So do not ask me to smile for the camera. I’ve had enough.”
He takes the camera from the photographer’s hands and slams it to the ground.
its asomething to take pictures with. memories and photos. you just take shots of everything around you. Something to hold your times on earth. Something used to remember. Pictures. Memories. Something to look back on as you move forward
Myera
take photos on it and it becomes something all people can appreciate, taking them back to a specific place or moment. not all of these moments may have occurred to them before, but perhaps it inspires the imagination to strike up something their mind clandestinely wanted to do and can greatly define what they think

I love taking pictures. They capture the spirit of a moment. They are there to remind you of a time that you were at your happiest. When you saw something that made you think about the world or remind you of things that will haunt you.

carmas can capture the greater things in life. the things you take for granted. the things that you never really stop to look at. family, friends, places, things you can forget to remember that you look at.

Camera’s are quite fun to play with. When you hold one in your hands you feel as though you can capture any moment in short bursts. Then you forget about the pictures. Years down the road of your life you look at the pictures and you’re able to remember the day as vividly as if it were yesterday. A camera is a piece of art in itself.
Sydney Welsh
I once had a camera it was red and I really liked it, and then my daughter dropped it and cracked the lens and it no longer worked and now I am have no camera except my phone and that is okay but it has no flash which can really blow.

Its not about the pictures but the essence of the moment. To capture the beauty of time is a crazy thing. We live our lives so quiclly we forget to look aroundand appriciate whats there. In a snapshot, I can capture lifes secret treasures that like to hide with lifes hell, time.
Brittany porter
I used to own one when I was like..fifteen. I remember going to a house party, taking pictures of everything and everyone. It was my first time drinking. I was wasted with my camera. When I woke up in the morning there was lemonade In the battery holder, and a cracked screen…
kaylyn
Camera’s are interesting. They capture someone’s best moments, their smile, or laugh. But, sometimes, they capture darker moments, a child crying, for instance. Camera’s really do record most of humanity’s bests, and worsts.
Oh a camera. Simple little delicate things aren’t they? But they aren’t. They’ve grown smaller it seems, but still give inspiration to millions, including me. With a camera, you see the world from a whole new lens.
