  21. carbon is something that i learned about in science class. carbon dioxide will kill you if you breath it in. in apollo 13, my favorite movie, the astronauts figure out a way to change carbon dioxide back into oxygen so that they can breathe and survive. it ends up being a pretty scary situation but thank goodness tom hanks makes it out alive.

  24. Carbon monoxide. Carbon dioxide. Cycles. Cycles. Cycles. Cars running. Suicide. Carbon kills. Stop it. Stop it. Stop. Carbon. Why carbon? Why suicide? Why? Please don’t.

  25. In all our beginnings, there is carbon. Without it, we would not exist; it is a part of all of us. When it comes down to it, we are all just little mosaics of elements. From these intertwined puzzle pieces springs intelligence, eyebrows, kidneys, spines, earlobes, and everything in between.

You may have the most seductive physique, the most flawlessly placed features, the most ingeniously crafted mind, or all of the above.

But, in all our ends, our labyrinths of bodies turns back to nothing but elements and carbon. And, to the earth, none of it makes a difference.

    Kat
  26. im not sure what to write about carbon it’s not that interesting of a subject really if you think about it. you’d have to be a scientist to really know what to write. Why would you want to write about something as silly as carbon? it seems like a funny subject to write about.

  28. We are made of the same bits of junk. We are patched together with the spit of our fathers. We are melded, molded, not with care and precision but with the thought that we would fit in the bin better, this way.

It doesn’t add up, how entitled we feel, sometimes, and how easily our lives can be disposed.

Stop being human. Get used to living in fear. Make a change, if you want, but we all cash out in the end, anyways.

You are nothing. We are nothing. You are not anything.

  33. Filters run deep through the pipes. The pipes are like veins through the city. It’d be a pity to see one of those filters go out. Sometimes when they replace them water stops for about 15 minutes. In city time that’s ages. When it comes back on it’s like a party.

    Dave
  34. Carbon cycles through the world like how I cycle around you. I drift from place to place, searching, but finding nothing and ending up at the start again. Sometimes, I get stuck at one point for so long that I feel like I’ll never find you. But I always end up looking for you again.

  36. Carbon: I think that’s the stuff I used to put in the aquarium filter. No wait. That was charcoal. Carbon makes me think of a carbon footprint, which always makes me feel guilty, just like global warming. I hate feeling bad whenever we have a warm day in the winter and spring.

    rachelzana
