Don’t worry how people will judge you. It’s prefectly okay. Celebration just means that you enjoy what goes on and that you are happy with yourself.

  9. My birthday is October 3rd, right around the corner. Normally, I’d want to celebrate. I’d want to have a cake and open presents and see friends and family. Not this year. This year I’m not myself. The past 7 months have been hell. I know when my 21st birthday arrives, I won’t want to celebrate.

  19. celebrate is too common of a word. seems like everyone uses it for everything these days. and if u look hard enough you can always find something to celebrate. i find it redundant. celebrating should be for a special occasions not just some flippant everyday thing. its like when people say lets celebrate life. well i celebrate life everyday when i wake up.

    some things are celebrated with a cry, others with a sob.
    Still others are simply celebrated. Some aren’t celebrated at all.
    And still I wonder… why am I trying to write poetry on a time limit, when I don’t know poetry? I don’t even know what rhymes with ‘sob’ though there’s probably ten other words in the English language that do. And so on and so forth.
    It’s kind of weird.

  37. The dim yellow lights lit up the room. Most everyone had left.

    The floor was damp and sticky, covered in popped balloons and left-over cake. I looked up at Katie as she sat there, head in hands, sobbing uncontrollably. Her friends attempts to comfort her didn’t seem to be helping much.

    I thought about saying good-bye, but, it wouldn’t help. Part of me is glad the Police are taking me away from here. There’s not much left to celebrate now anyway.
