  1. The boat’s crew were growing weary. We hadn’t seen land for so long, people were starting to disbelieve that such a thing existed. The sky was real, the surf was real, the salty feeling was real. But trees, green land? That was a phantasm, the stuff that visited the cabins and dreams at night.

  2. I wish I had a crew that would write this paper for me. Honestly, what am I going to learn by reading a textbook and regurgitating information that will have no impact whatsoever on my future career? Nothing, except that you are a horrible teacher who does not expect any individual thought or uniqueness from his students. Which is why a crew would work best, giving you the answers you WANT to hear rather than the ones you SHOULD.

  4. There were a bunch of us at one point. A small army, some might say. The best of friends we were. I always thought we would rule the world someday. We’d discover something amazing, and we’d use it to become wonderful. To save the world, maybe. Too bad things ended the way they did. Now none of that can ever happen…

  7. It was difficult to explain why they had so thoroughly protected each other from the enemy. It wasn’t difficult to understand that they had been through so much already, facing life, death, horror and unspeakable acts that no one would ever dare utter in the waking hours. But they could not abandon one another, for fear of the abyss left behind.

  8. I have been on so many crews. Lighting crew. Set crew. FOH crew. Costume crew. It’s crew head time, people say, people think. But I don’t know if I am ready. I might be a responsibility-phobe.

  9. Our crew for volleyball was the best one I have every played with. We appreciated each other. I miss it so much. It was the biggest part of my life and I’ll never play competitively again. It makes me want to cry.

  12. The men on the ship looked down into stormy waters that tossed adn churned below them. The man in the birds nest up top yelled out “land ahoy”. it was a blessing to the ears of me that had been at sea for weeks on end. They sailed slpwly closed to this unknown place that could orcould not be the last of them. All they knew was that if they didnt take their chance at that moment then they could die at sea.

  19. the man on the top of the ship shoulted out to his men “land ahoy!” as they closed in on a small island. the stormy waters churned adn crashed around tehm as they drew closer, forcing the shipmates to cling tightly as to avoide being thrown odd the side of the boat. theyd beena t sea for weeks now and the site of land was a welcoming one as the grew closer and closer to their only hope for survival.

  20. Charlie looked around the ship. The crew were all pirates. He hid behind a barrel not wanting to end up like all those people you read about. Unfortunatly one of the pirates spotted him and said the words Charlie was dreading. ” Ah, a stowaway eh? Well then since we’re already out in the middle of the ocean theres only one thing for you to do. WALK THE PLANK!” he snarled, pushing Charlie with his shiny, sharp hook.

  29. America’s next dance ‘crew’ is probably one of the worst run shows on mtv. First of all, what does lil’ kim have to do with dancing. What kind of knowledge does she have on the topic? At least JC was in Nsync and danced to horrible choreography. Also that other judge… he is very forgettable.

  30. There was once an evil captain of an evil ship. His crew was not as evil as he was….also…his name was Sue Dennis Kelly, though most people called him KelSue the evil captain of an evil ship with a not so evil crew….he was also a woman….

  31. This makes me think of theater. Wearing black. Being back stage. Being able to see the audience when they can’t see you. I’ve only crewed once. Maybe it doesn’t stay magical.

The “astronauts” were awaiting boarding clearance, with much trepidation. The commander rubbed his head and began to scratch the nape of the lieutenant’s neck, and the pilot swam back and forth excitedly. Knowing the simulations of human components had all failed miserably, the company had gone with what their resident AI had suggested, with much dismay from the public; Two monkeys, a dog, and a dolphin named Clarence.

He hadn’t seen anyone else in the last 48 hours or any indication that he would. Bleak was the biggest understatement he could think of. And yet, here were the Falls. Beautiful.
