  2. I usually don’t eat it. But then again it is a special day. Maybe I could, just once. But then If I do, I know I’ll regret it and pay for it for the rest of my life. But then again it has ALWAYS tasted SO good! Maybe I could, just once, eat dessert. Maybe.

  3. I thought they were kidding when they said what the mission was. Honestly, who actually does this sort of thing? I mean, I know I do, but is it just me? Or are there others? 6. People constantly eat dessert. Every second of every day, there’s millions of people around the world eating sort of dessert. Each one is delectable to its eater, each dessert providing some short seconds of heavenly bliss to the one that chooses it. If you ever see it, you will want it. Inevitably, you will end up eating it, voluntarily, or no.

It created in her a comfort against the heat. It made it bearable, somehow. The sweetness saved her.

  11. Ice cream. Simple cream, sugar, some kind of flavor or extract of a plant or herb or root. It’s always been my favorite dessert. Even after plateful of buffet goodness, I always make room for a cup of ice cream.

It’s all nice and flaky on the outside and then you get to the filling and this sweet yet perfectly tangy thing fills your mouth up! It’s exciting since most desserts are just sweet sweet sweet! Bah. Apple pie is my favorite.

  24. His eyes roamed over her body, and his mouth began to water as if he were tasting a fine dessert. She giggled at his lack of control, and beckoned him over to her with a finger.
She breathed deeply, and leaned forward, “Kiss me, baby.”
And he did. The pleasure was beyond electrifying… until the knife embedded deep into his back. She pulled back, wiped her lips, and whispered, “Burn in hell, babe.”
Kissed his forehead one last time before he fell backwards, dead.

  25. He looked like the chocolate cake he was eating. His eyes were the cherries on top, glistening when the light hit them just right, His nose was the contours of the pile of icing and his mouth was the curve of the perfectly round chocolate piece on top.

  28. Sweet lemony sauce, a crumbly shortbread tart to scoop it in. Or maybe a rich chocolate cake with thick buttercream frosting that melts all velvety in your mouth. Or strawberries or apples or a jumble of berries crammed into a flaky crust, the fruit glazed and sugary. Dessert makes my eyes roll in pleasure and my tongue dance with the most ungodly delicious flavours in all the kingdoms of meals. Mm-mm!

  29. Like a dessert she dekorated herself. She was too sweet for this cruel world. She didn’t fear none, because everyone liked her. But, what a shame a dessert has the purpose to be devoured by one, and that one would be cruel.

  30. I don’t even want to eat dessert anymore. Yesterday I ate dessert all day, and then I remembered that you are gone, and nothing is sweet anymore. My bed at night is empty and cold, your tiny breath and the sound of your little nails on the floorboards are gone…and the dessert sits on the table you will never climb again, uneaten.

  32. only fine time until the ice cream melts. until you figure out why you left me. but I already know the reason. it was because my eyes weren’t honest enough. one day we’ll meet again, under the palm trees, and share a root beer float. like old times. forever together. and this memory will stick between our eyelids.

  33. “Klunk,” she took a flying whack at the thorny cactus with her bat. It tore off in a spikey hunk, dripping juice. It landed in the hot sand a few feet off. She lunged toward it, picked it up gingerly between her pinched thumb and forefinger and dangling it to try to get the sand off it. Shucking off all the sharp spikes from the cactus with a leatherman, she plunged her fist into a pocket and pulled out two blooming desert lilies blossoms, dropped them in the hollow cactus shell and ground them to a pulp. Then added a dusting of mojave nectar. A perfect desert dessert.

  34. dessert is a reward. isnt it? well maybe. it comes after something, finishes it off to leave a sweet taste in your mouth. it has to be sweet. sweet like berries. or real heavy dark sweet like chocolate.
