  1. The last christmas my dad was alive I bought him a flannel jacket to wear when bringing in wood. I was so proud to buy it ofr him because i knew he would use it for years. He died that april. He wore it only a few times. I don’t know where it is now but I know i will find it one day and cry.

  3. Flannel pyjamas. I love pjs… very much. Especially bottoms. FLANNEL PYJAMA BOTTOMS. Soft, comfy. LITTLE KID DAYS. Dont’ we all miss them? Crap, bad spelling. Well, hmms… what else to write about flannel? I have never actually heard it used a lot. Just for flannel pjs. Does that mean it’s not used for anything or just that I need to see more of the world? I guess I do. I hear random tubas right now. FLANNEL TUBAS HOLY CRUD. That’d be cool. ’nuff said?

  5. I got my dad a nice flannel shirt for his birthday. I know it’s kind of lame but I have this odd vision of my father, traipsing around in the woods decked out in flannel. Pants, hat, scarf, shirt.. I was only trying to make it a reality.

  6. Flannel reminds me of 90’s grunge and music. You always see photographs of the late Kurt Cobain wearing a clearly oversized flannel shirt that probably belonged to an old relative.

  8. toasty and fuzzy. i wore them all through high school and college. particularly a huge brown and blue one i stole from my boyfriend at the time. funny how flannel was pictured walking down the runway at high fashion shows

  9. One of the only flannels that I own was given to my by my father when I was too small for his long arms and I shivered in the cold. There’s a cigarette burn in the breast pocket, right by where his heart would be. He never took it back.

  10. My good friend is a lesbian. Before she came out to us she always used to want to be a lumber jack. She had a bunch of flannels and knit hats. She would put them all on together and look longingly in the mirror. I think she really did want nothing more then to cut down trees alone.

  20. The softness of that fabric brings be back to sleepovers, giggling, watching Greece and Now and Then. I loved the thickness of flannel pajamas, the way they kept my ever-cold body warm even in the most frigid of winters.

  30. We wear flannel on spirit days. It reminds me of lumberjacks and hipsters. They’re comfy. I have a red one that I got for free from my neighbor across the street. It’s from the Gap and I feel cool when I wear it. It’s soft. It has snowflakes stitched on the inside.
