103 Entries for “freezer”

  1. I am tired of all the Women
    Stuffed into fridges
(head in the freezer when there’s no room)
For the sake of a man’s pain and plot.
Give me all the Girls fighting back
(Give me queens of love and war and both)
    No more cheap trick sacrifice
To justify moving the story along.

  2. It is cold? No life. I think about the pain of cold. My fingers hurt. There is food in the freezer but it needs heat. I want to make sure the freezer is plugged in so the meat doesn’t t spoil.

    Pam. Smith
  3. “How long have I been here?”

    “Hello!”

“How long have I been inside this?”

“You’ve actually been sleeping for a century.”

“100 years?! It’s been too long.”

  4. I told her not to look in the freezer, but she didn’t listen. She never does. Instead she came running back, gasping for breath.
“Who is he?” she demanded, grasping the lapels of my jacket. “Who the HELL is he?!”

  5. The wooden floor was stained a dark chocolate colour, but the blood pool around the woman’s head contrasted even darker. The CSI team was still busy gathering their bits and bobs, focusing on the physical evidence. Andrea stepped away from the body, she wasn’t here to read the dead. She was here to read the life, the life that had bled out on the floor. Who was this blonde woman, in her mid thirties living in a small but very upmarket flat in the middle of the city? Andrea looked at the mantelpiece and the walls, but there were no photographs. She moved through the lounge, the study, the dining room- noting book titles, magazines, art, collections- anything really that could give her an understanding of the victim. No fingerprints in the system, no matches in missing persons, the neighbours barely knew her. The house and furnishings all seemed strangely sterile -as if it had no personality. Even the food cupboards seemed to be stocked by someone who read “A good pantry should have…” She was not getting any true “feel” from this woman’s apartment. Until she opened the freezer.

  6. i looked into the freezer to see a severed head of human. it scared me, i quickly shut it and took deep breaths, trying to clear my head

  7. My host parents in Russia
Used the screened in porch off my bedroom
    As a freezer for fish
As well as a closet for storing unused household items.
My host father on Sunday morning
Would take a knife through my room
And cut off a piece of a fish
For dinner later in the evening.

  8. cut it up in portions and bag it and stick it in there. Well move the pizzas for chrissake. Give me the cooler thing. we won’t need it til spring. Ah there’s the chili!

    Lee
  9. I open the door to the old Frigidair. It wheezes out icy dust, sending a chill through me. For untold wonders may sleep within this lost tomb of foods Saved and Forgotten. Here lies a mystery, buried beneath the freezer-burned hotdog buns and frosted hamburger patties, trapped under ancient ice-cream tubs and old spaghetti sauce. It is found smothered under three ice bags. The care taken to arrange it so unsuspectingly is strangely disturbing. There lies the unknown substance, long frozen into a tupperware block. I have no memory of putting it there. Who know’s what could be waiting inside?

    Paige Burdick
  10. In the freezer I put the milk
    And the pickles
    And the meat
    To make the perfect meal
    For my beloved boss
In the freezer is the cream
    And the apples
    And the cheese
    The meal has ended
But that doesn’t mean my night has too
In the freezer lyes the chicken
And the ice I use for the whiskey
The whiskey I’m drinking right now
Infront of the fire while a smirk plays across my face
In the freezer lies the head
    And the bloody tail
Of the hair of my boss
Who refused to give me the raise
For the milk that I need to buy tomorrow in the supermarket.

  11. “there’s lunch in the freezer” she said

but i didn’t want it. i wanted real food. we had been living off of frozen food for the past month.

“i dont want what’s in the damn freezer” i muttered

    jas
  12. My heart is on fire
    My pulse still beats
My head is in a quandary
but all the world is still.

    Inside me lies a question
    It is the only way
    to know whether I can
    trust or not
Is to only trust at all.

  13. sometimes i feel like you’re just a block of ice
that i have to chip away at
to get to that goddamn warm centre
and yet you called just to say i’m the cold one.
i’m the one slamming the door in your face,
at every single chance i have.
that i’m the one that makes your skin
    turn blue
and i’m the one that makes the blood in your body freeze
when i am wrapped around you.

  14. burn scrapes off easily
    and i contemplate another banquet.
there is a vaguely remembered story
somewhere in the recesses of my brain
about a sword hanging by a hair.
    my stomach grumbles
and my brain refuses the memory
    in favor of lower processes.

  15. I could not believe what I was staring at. it was a freezer, just a freezer like you would find in most houses of the Tri-State area, but the object in the freezer made my jaw drop. I stared, unblinking, still trying to process what was happening. A severed head sat before me.

  16. sometimes i feel like you’re just a block of ice
that i have to chip away at
to get to that goddamn warm centre
and yet you called just to say i’m the cold one
i’m the one slamming the door in your face,
at every single chance i have.
that i’m the one that makes your skin

and i’m the one that makes the blood in your body freeze

  17. Looking into the fog rising from the deep chest freezer a shape slowly coalesced. covered in icicles from a decade of freezing temperatures lay the most out of date food ever still edible.

  18. I slammed the freezer door shut and stormed back into the dining room. He was doing it again, making jokes about me. I don’t know why I stuck around him for so long. Maybe I should leave. No one should have to suffer through this like me. I stood behind him as he laughed. Maybe his head could go in the freezer, with all of the other useless chunks of meat.

  19. The ice cream freezer on my patio brings images of summer and thoughts of joy. My childhood in a whitegood. A happy one at that.

As she stumbled up to the freezer, she heard the footsteps of the man waiting for her back in her bed approach. moments after, a couple of muscular arms wrapped themselves around her waist, and she could only smile, feeling like that was the place where she belonged. She grabbed the milk, ready to prepare the both a nice bowl of cereal, but he had other plans. He turned her around forcefully, connecting their mouths together in a passionate, steaming kiss.

  25. i got up and started to walk to the kitchen to get a midnight snack. When I reached the freezer to grab a hot pocket to cook, something else moved. It downright terrified me to death.

I know stand shivering, cold, alone in the dark metro alleys of Phnom Penh, France…

  27. “So cold and tough — frozen. How does it feel to not feel? Your heart, locked up in your own personal freezer?”

  28. my heart is on display
    next to yours frozen
    freezing
    it’s getting colder
    i’m floating further away
there isn’t a thing either of us can do

    hold me down
    lift me up

  30. oh
    my
    god
    i can’t wait to take
    everything- including the fridge
i’d take the bathroom sink if i could
but i’ll leave you with that piece of shit
i’ll take my soul and my level head
and you can keep your hate buried inside your stained carpet
    thick with your nasty words

i hope you trip over your once a month cleaned litter box
and your face lands in mold and you feel the way your cats feel
you can’t even take care of yourself
cigarette butts line your bedroom floor trim and pressed up against the wall
are all the favors I’ve done for you
I don’t owe you a god damn thing
    you can keep your sorrow
    i know
you’ll already suffer enough on your own

  31. “Joel, why is there an entire swordfish in the freezer?”

” ‘Cause I bought it,” my nephew grunted from the living room, where he was playing the newest Call of Duty game.

“Okay,” I muttered, “I figured you had bought it. But why?”

“I think the question is where, not why,” my sister cut in, grinning over the lip of her beer bottle.

“From the local market,” Joel replied. “And because I want to try swordfish.”

to find a glimmer of sun
    hidden between clouds.

  34. Goin’ on a cryogenic trip, you and me, it’s gonna be cold, cold in the freezer, if we can fit all our limbs in, if we can push past the panic we’ll freeze our love the way it is, let the hoarfrost build its layers up, a bumpy white protectant, so we don’t go the majority way and crash it on the sun-warmed rocks, of Suburbia, a failed notion as big as the ocean, come on, climb on top of me, we’ll freeze our love mid-action.

  35. “i want to spend i night in a freezer.”

“here they say: i have a body. not corpse. body.”

  36. I am terrible at taking things out of the freezer. I have good intentions about using the food again but it just never seems to happen. I love when I do remember and have a zuchini bread to take out and have for breakfast. I am rushed for dinner usually, so food from the freezer would really save me time.

  37. Across the street, the girl put her feet in the freezer. I stared at her house, the speckles and flakes of rotting wood slowly climbing down the windows, the door frame.

  38. I’m in one. No kidding. Not many people would think to write a letter, all while being crammed and contorted inside a freezer, but I figured why not? Something to keep me busy as the blue glow of the sky fades to white and then to dark. I don’t want to watch that happen, no one does. #freezer #oneword

  39. We locked her in the freezer when she told us the truth. At first she said only “No please, I do not know nothing of about a dead bird” in her misshapen Portuguese. But we took and took, and she didn’t mind the cold.

  40. I am freezing, out here;
I can barely feel my limbs
    badly shivering,
    trembling,
    cracking
    among this white, soft snow;
the field is pure and spotless:
    no life
    – Am I still dreaming? –

    Everything is cold and empty;
    there is nothing
    even beyond my green eyes.

    Only silence and astonishment.
