  2. honestly magazines are almost the vain of my existence I’ve spent my whole life thinking i’m not good enough because of unreal expectations created by media rooting from magazines. With their too thin models and all i’m surprised my generation isn’t screwed up, oh, wait, it is.

If you have people or time or something youre probably superficial or a poser. Read to learn and to grow. If you read time or people then I have nothing against you

  7. No one touched the magazines. The children didn’t see them, maybe because they didn’t appear on a screen, they had no conception of them, their awareness of print frozen by the fast-flashing medium.

  8. people read magazines for fun, something to do when bored, to find information and to learn new things. i love fashion magazines, and i’m currently addicted to finding new recipes. i used to cut out beautiful pictures and create collages on my wall when i was a teenager. beautiful people, clothes, art, words of wisdom, inspiration for daily life — almost anything really! now i use magazines to unwind. it’s a shame that magazines are so expensive, because now the only time i get to read them is when i borrow them from other people.

    They flick the soft pages
    Flip, flip, flip

The magazine is permeated with the ozone smell of battle. For now, it is silent, but at a moment’s notice I will leap to my feet to do battle.
The peace and quiet is what draws me to the room where I do war.

I picked up one magazine and ran my palm against its surface. On it was a picture of an actor who had never made it that far. He had a smile and lots of stubble.

  22. The people on the cover stare back at you, judging you. With their perfect hair. Their perfect bodies. They’re unblemished faces. Their flawlessness staring right back at you. You close your eyes, trying to catch a break from the thoughts captivating your mind. You finally can’t take it anymore and throw the magazine at your door, sick of comparing yourself to someone who isn’t even there.

  23. I don’t really like magazines any more. After working at Walgreens for 2 years I’ve read every little bit of trash that there is out there. Every once in a while I find an interesting mag that I really like, but really I much rather read a book or a comic! :D

I think with the creation of Google I can find pretty much anything I need to know about gossip on the internet… so why would I go buy a whole bunch of weird feeling plastic paper bound into a lying novel. 33. Some people really need magazines, and I just don’t understand that. I’ve seen all the magazines on the self in the stores, I’ve seen them in the line of the grocery store. People, Cosmo, In Touch, and whatever else they’ve got. I laugh most of the time when I see them; why do people find satisfaction reading about shotgun weddings, celebrity houses, plastic surgery, weird little dogs in purses, bullshit. It’s alllll bullshit.
Magazines drive me out of my mind.
