  8. It’s like being in school, with a social hierarchy complete with a plastic princess at the top of the cheer pyramid and you and your shitty style of dress at the very bottom with the brown-bag tuna sandwich lunches. You realize with a jolt that high school will never end, that you’ll be the same brace-face decked out in plaid, unconfident and unable to attract any semblance of attention from the opposite sex. You go to sleep and dream of slicing your abdomen open, removing the clotted fat and maybe even your own insides, anything to make you beautiful.

Please keep them in mind-always!

  24. Oh those principals. A pain for teachers. A pain for students. Except how would the school run without them? They have such a crummy job, but a good principal is so invaluable to having things run smoothly. There are always good parts and bad parts about any principal, or any person at all, for that matter.

  32. He didn’t give me enough time, and he knew it. That’s why he was laughing as I set out on my impossible quest—there was no way I could do everything in time.
Anger clenched my stomach. If he thought that he had just successfully set me up to fail, he had another thing coming. I would come back first, triumphant, grinning, reveling in every single moment of his subsequent outrage. I would force him to learn several painful lessons about myself when I came back ahead of schedule, the principal one being never even attempt to sabotage me. It will only embarrass you in the end.

  36. Her hooded eyes are narrowed suspiciously as she regards me. I’m aware that I’m in absolutely no situation to bargain, but I straighten my mussed hair self-importantly and try my best to sound aloof and superior as I ask, “And why do you think I’m going to trust you?”

She gives me a condescending smile, like I’m the most adorable little fool she’s had the misfortune of ever meeting. “Because, idiot”, she hisses. “I don’t kill on principle.”

  38. principals. god its so hard to spell that word sometimes. it’s like: is it pricipal or principles? which one even means which, im not sure. it’s also one of those words that your finger shave to jump all over the keyboard to write. plugh. either way, i remember the last time i ever went to the principals office. i was called in when i’d witnessed a “crime” among children. lol. it was really for nothing in particular. ut it was so intimidating, being in the presence of supposedly the most powerful figure i the whole school. suddenly i had to be so much more polite.

  39. Again? The third time. No, I’m going to write about principle instead. But the rules said for principal. Now I’m confused. Should I follow what the rules said and keep on writing principal? Or do I follow my instinct and keep on babbling about this? Or starting to write about principle? Wait, time is r
