  1. Society can go screw itself. No, seriously. Leonard sat down on the couch next to Sheldon’s “spot”. He was really getting tired of this charade. What was he supposed to do? Continue hiding his feelings? Keep lying to everyone? His friends, his mother, Penny, even… himself? He was in love with his best friend. There was no use denying it any longer. He had to make a choice; either move out and move on with his life or deal with his feelings, his emotions and talk to Sheldon finally. It had been 9 years, maybe it was finally time.

  2. oh boy,
    society
    some say it is defining
    some that it is damning
    others simply impose
and we wait, hoping in secret
that ours won’t fuck us up too badly
perhaps this time, we’ve got it right.

  3. this is a community where people are different from eachother and there are different groups of people. however they all add up to make one commnity even through their differences

    katy
  4. Don’t talk to me about society! People say “society is to blame” “society expects” or “society has changed, they used to…..” Well the way I see it, we are all a part of society or a society of sorts. So don’t ever let me hear you tell me that “socety” is the cause of all our problems. You are a part of society.

  5. The way people looked at her as she crossed the road made her feel as though she’d done something terribly, terribly wrong. Committed a sin so great she was about to be cast from society and forced to live as a hermit for the rest of her days. Instead she was walking home, with ladders in her tights and a heel broken, the make up from the night before smudged under her eyes. Still, she thought as she put her head down and suppressed a smile, totally worth it.

  6. Society has always been a touchy topic. Either you’re considered beautiful, or you are considered to be an abomination by their flighty standards. Society often disgusts me in this. Not because of the people, but because of the expectations. They’re unmanageable. Unattainable.

  7. Society influences others in good and bad ways. It can start good movements or hurt others. We are all one and together as people, but sometimes we cannot see this truth, although on rare occasions we can.

    Janset
  8. Scuse me Ma’am. You’re not allowed to do That here. Emphasis on the That. People will complain. People? Who? Well, it’s just kind of Dirty! Dirty spelled with a capital D, exclamation point. /scowl/ I’m just feeding my newborn son. He’s hungry. Well, could you go outside. Point. Point. Exit! No one wants to see That! Emphasis on the That, exclamation point.

  9. Society is really screwed up. I mean, why did we make ourselves like this? People are either stuck-up and selfish or truly hate themselves. It’s a loss for mankind either way. There must be a better solution than this.

  10. i see siciety as me,we a place to come together share ideas hopes inspiration

  11. “Society, what a great fuckin’ idea, am I right?” His voice cut through the chatter of the coffee shop, loud, strident and obnoxious.
I looked up from my book and scowled at him. He stood over my table, cup in hand, smiling down at me with that cocky smirk. “Well, am I?” he asked, plopping into the chair opposite mine.

  12. Society has dictated the way the majority of people live their lives. They set certain rules and boundaries for themselves and others that make their true self become incognito, and eventually disappear. Imagine if these “trends” and “courteous manners” never influenced you, never directed your way of being. How would you really be?

  13. I wish I could find you
in this world we live in
    full of unhappy people
    noisy subways
    coexistence

I wish I could run through
    all the busy traffic
    in this busy city
    full of ignorant people
    blocking my way.

I wish I could reach out to you
    one face I recognize
among the many others in the crowd
    before you slip away
    before I forget
    the color of your eyes
or the bare brush of my hand on your shoulder
as you walk in the other direction
not aware of the twist of fate
    you and I just missed.

  14. Society. That word can mean so many things as it has so much associated with it. It can have good feelings, prideful feelings but sometimes society is something awful. Its the thing against you, your worst enemy.

  15. it’s disappointing. it hurts to look through sometimes. i keep hoping for change. everyone throws that word around like it’s going to happen on its own. everything is the same. everyone is hiding behind a notion that yesterday was better. if by better you mean quieter. people were still drowning in themselves. still reaching for light flickering on the outside of the water made graves. lucid and moving. just because your grandma lived in dresses doesn’t mean she didn’t stick a tube south to travel north. doesn’t mean you’re not down an uncle or aunt. things are the same, we’re just more aware. you would think awareness would spark movement. it hasn’t. that’s what is so disappointing.

  16. Society can make me sick at times.

  17. Society has always been indifferent towards the needs and changes of this modern living. The recent world has yes, many flaws, but one of it’s biggest flaws is just not buying the new oneword-o-matic. So yes, mr. customer, order yours now.

    gagalosh
  18. They control everything we do. Everything we say, think, buy, hope, use, want, need, love: Everything. They’re the ones who changed us. They’re the ones that made us the monsters..

  19. The socialites of society succeed in fashion while succumbing to temptations of fury and passion.

  20. Society is a group of many people living together. They are forced to live that way because without each other they wouldnt survive long. Anyone needs society.

    lauz17
  21. “Society’s approval means nothing. The sheep bleat, but the shepherd doesn’t listen. All great men think the same; they are above the common herd and they know it.”

  22. Everything we make and share between us, and all the weird things we don’t or do care about with each other don’t blame me it’s someone else they have to change not me uh huh that’s just the way it is that’s just the way it is I can’t think of anything

    Patrick
  23. Society needs a lot of help. More than anything education. Education in health and fitness. Over 60% of Americans are overweight, and 30% of those overweight are obese. Children are now be homing diabetic in their teenage years. Food is not regulated properly . Demographics with lower incomes and education have the worst options for food. They can get “cheap food” at a cheap price. Organic food, vegetables, raw , fresh farm foods are nowhere to be found.

  24. refusal.

  25. society is fucked; but before we blame society and start talking mad shit about sociest we have to remember that WE ARE SOCIETY. And no one is exempt from it- society is just a blanket term for everyone in an area and if you are alive then youre part of society. And even after you die too, sometimes you effect society long after youve stopped being a ‘part’ of society, Anyways. people always complain about how fucked ‘society’ is while in reality society is us and we are society so fix yourself before you look at others.

  26. There is no such thing as society, Thatcher said, and perhaps she was right, and perhaps not. What is society? A scattering of individuals in one place, a strange series of cogs and currencies that my eyes are never wide enough to take in completely. One day I hope I gain a bird’s eye view.

  27. A társadalom egy nagyon összetett dolog. Ide tartozik minden földön élô ember. Egy közösséget alkotnak. TÁRSadalom

    máté
  28. We all live in a society of some sorts. Sometimes what other people, the society, think about us is a reason of worry. Sometimes we act in a certain way, or say some things, or even think or like some other things just because they are common in our society. That’s pretty scary if you think about it, ain’t it?

  29. people make the society. Good or bad. Together. One way or an other. They can make and brake a society.. In what society do you want to be? Make that society! for yourself and others

    karin
  30. i have longed my whole life to fit in to what society seems to think i should be. I feel like i will never measure up and have seperated myself from the norm. I hide away in my home, afraid of society.

    Robin
  31. It’s a glaring sign that says ‘feed me’. Society in all it’s righteousness that asphyxiates you in wants and needs, groping for a sense of individuality and identity outside the norm. It’s a coffe shop of lined orders of ‘non-fat mocha soy latte’ and ‘caramel macchiatto.’

  32. Society is at fault, society is at fault, society’s done all these crimes to her and it’s just its taint and its corruption seeping into every single one of its people and members. Don’t tell her what she can and can’t do, don’t tell her what’s right and wrong, don’t force her to abide by its laws and rules because she’ll live her life however she fucking wants.

  33. It’s the eventual scream that makes her want to gouge her eyes out when she thinks of society. It twists and distorts limbs and clamours until you suffocate under shoulds and should nots and the mounting pressures of who you should be. It is, essentially, society for the sake of identity. There are glass ceilings that are so high it’s impossible to climb and when you reach it, the stillness of the glass made the struggle an illusion. You have to climb higher and higher.

    Audrey
  34. Society tells you to be unique but then criticize who are actually are different. People do not realize that being unique means being different, so just forget what society tell you to be and just be yourself.

    Edo
  35. “Such a wretched place, don’t you think?”
“You’re just saying because, well… you are that kind of person.”
    “Wretched person?”
    “Sort of.”
The leaves falling from the trees reminded me of the days before this snowfall, this new age of freedom.

  36. we live in such a wonderful, cosy, and delightful, peaceful, world. full of harmony and love. of course.

  37. society, its the society thats the enabler. i cant be myself, im worried if i say the wrong thing or do the wrong thing something ill be judged. if i dont keep up with trends and what not ill be an outsider. but what ive come to realize is i am an outsider, i dont belong in this society. and no matter what i do, i always will be the black sheep , on the side lines. but guess what, from the side lines and i see things i wouldnt see if i was playing the societys game.

  38. There were certain things you did when you were raised the way she had; certain things you shouldn’t do.

Yes, there were definitely more of the “thou shalt nots” than the “thou shalls.”

But she’d learned to live with it. It had become part of her, as much as she had tried to fight it, and every now and then little pieces of her old life shone through, pieces that might offend someone or make her look snobbish. She hated those pieces, but she couldn’t seem to root out all the shards.

  39. Surrounded, everywhere. You can’t go anywhere, there’s a wall trapping you there, alone. A wall of thoughts and misconceptions, a wall that does not accept you.
