this guy wakes up. he puts a lot of sugar on a grapefruit. he gets his briefcase etc, goes to work. and then goes to kareokee at the bar. and sometimes he remembers his briefcase when he leaves

Masks on, we’re ready for the day. Lines rehearsed. Mind prepared. It’s like high school is one big stage, rehearsing for the grand performance.
The whole entire world is a stage, and you are the main character. Life is in your hands, you control the screenplay. Don’t waste a moment on the stage that is your life.

This is it, isn’t it?
Her father sits in the audience, somewhere in the middle. She cannot see his face. She wouldn’t have been able to even if the spotlight WASN’T shining right in her face.
The motions come naturally. Once again, she breathes. Once again, she places the bow upon the strings.
With one last catch in her throat, the world freezes. Her heart stops.
“All the world is a stage,” the teacher announced to the class. “Who’s heard this quote before?”
Everyone silently stared back at the teacher. No one could be bothered to raise their hand,
“All of you, great,” the teacher continued. She had been a teacher for two years now, and she knew that just because no one raised their hand didn’t mean no one knew the answer or no one had anything to say.
I left the stage because I want to be on my own. I left the stage because the lights weren’t right for me. I left the stage because I didn’t have the passion anymore. But I’d go back if the leading role was right for me.
the rose is red, amor. amour. tell it like it is, my darling. do not lie in front of the silent audience. speak the truth in action to me, i will listen to lines i know too well and hear your sadness for the first time tonight. we act too well on this raised platform, though i guess we have plenty of practice, you and i.
“It’s simple. You make the incision…”
His fingers trailed down her stomach, over her thigh, and right to the point where her legs joined.
“..Here.”
And in went the blade.
on the stage i bear my feelings, open up a vein and act from the blood that drips in time with the dramatic pause, stopping my breath in time with the audience. i scream, i cry, i laugh, i sing, and it all feels free because for the next two hours i get to escape me. i bring the audience out of the dark and into the light, my light, the story and the light that creates our human experience. joy. sorrow. we share it all in lights upon a stage.

upon the stage she held a little glass full of all the things little girls were made of.
glitter and wildflowers, clear flowing water from the stream behind her house and a full moon.

One beam pierces the theater’s blackness, specks of dust drifting wearily through the warm air. One girl stands on an empty stage, heart pounding, hands shaking, under the glare of the beam. With a slow intake of breath, her lungs pull in a gasp of air, her mouth opens, and the music pours out, filling the void of silence.
keep on the stage now. save your words for your audience. keep your distance and keep on your costume. you have no room here entertainer…i see you for what you are. it’s your biggest performance yet to convince me you love me…but keep it on the stage. i’m walking out.
Ich stehe auf einer großen Bühen. Die Menschen winken mir zu. Ich fühle mich stark und groß. Doch was habe ich getan. Bin ich wirklich die, für die ich ich hier ausgegeben habe? habe ich die Menschen belogen?

I danced on the stage for hours. It helped control my emotions, wipe the sad feelings away and renew them with blissful and peaceful ones. When I dance, i’m with the music. Me and the music are one person, one soul and one body. I move when it’s time to move, and even though I make mistakes, it does not matter. The music does not judge me, and neither does the stage.
i like being on stage i wish i was an actress so people cold see me on stage. i hope i never fall off of a stage that would really hurt. I wonder if real celebrities ever did that when they were younger. Probably i mean they’re human too. i like pie. :)

Everyday I feel as if I am on a stage. Each movement is part of a performance that will be judged by my audience, the world. It causes me to constantly have butterflies in my stomach and make everything perfect.
Center stage. Hit the lights. Shooting star. Don’t look out, just face the crowd, and show them who you are. Love it or leave it, don’t let them see you cry.
When thinkin of such a word i remember the arts, in which so many of modern day are spoken on this thing we call the stage where it has taken us and where we will be after its done i will never know.
Being on stage was her entire life, everything she did revolved around the theatre. Unfortunately that was her downfall, she did anything to have the leading role, the potential to gain fame

I stood on the stage and stared into the empty autoruim. I could feel my heart start to pound as I thought about the nights events, until a friend came up behind me and reminded me, that I was going to be great.
Red curtains, faded, rubbed down wood. I was in that play in high school called “Among Friends and Clutter” where the director decided it would be a good idea to play the Friends theme song, the one by the Rembrandts or whoever. What a bad idea.
the stage ah the memories it brings the idea of the art the show buisness
what could be more gratifying
it also reminds me of the current day and age
and with which our youth our bein manipulated out of free thought

i see her long legs as she glides onto stage
strike unbroken and she jumps and twirls and winds
around picked potatoes and corn crops and into the pumpkin patch
when i look her in the eyes
its hard to speak

Take the stage, dance on it, sing on it, do whatever you please on it. It is your life, your time. Don’t worry about who is in the audience, just do it for yourself. Forget the world, if only for a minute, and take the stage and do with it as you please.
I wasn’t made for the stage, but I grew into it. Beginning at age 19, I’ve spent a LOT of time on them. The largest was in front of 30,000 people, but the overwhelming majority of them have been in front of 10 – 50 people in my hometown.
The stage is the place where everything else disappears. The stage is home. The stage is my safe haven. It’s the only place where I know exactly what to do.

On the empty stage of the silent theatre, he stood and waited for me. Such a public space to be so intimate and quiet and filled with our own little world.

He set the stage. He stepped on it. Reginald took center and lifted the skull, blinded by the spotlight. “Alas, poor Yorrick,” he recited, “I knew him Horatio…” he continued with the soliloquy to completion, his anguish mixed with the puddle of his sweat on the stage. He moved stood down center, taking his bow, to dead silence. He realized then it was too much to expect appreciation of the Bard from his audience of Beanie Babies.

Her golden hair blew furiously in the wind,
the waves crashed violently against the tall charcoal rocks,
her crested cheeks turned crimson from the chill,
and warmed up viciously as she remembered what he’d said one year and three months ago.
Rage was not something she usually let out,
but she’d held the burden for too long.
The dark voluminous storm clouds swiftly approached,
they couldn’t have framed her mood more perfectly.
The water started to freefall from the spacious sky,
dropping harder faster and larger with every second,
setting the stage for a raging hurricane.
The world is a stage is an expression I have heard many times. I think it means that you have all the opportunities you could possibly want in your lifetime. I don’t like being on a stage.

I’ve been on stage, and never before have I felt so vulnerable, not even while being in love. But I did it, and I sang of King Herods crimes against man, and I gave life to something that happened so long ago. The stage was my platform of truth and history.
A dream that stays in the back of every humans mind, to one day be on stage, with the sounds of cheering all around as they let there heart out to everyone. Yet no one wants to be a real hero, no one wants to fight fires or wars.

As Shakespeare once said, all the world a stage, and all the men and women merely players. I don’t think that’s true. Atheists wouldn’t think that’s true. That’d mean that someone was watching. The world being a stage means there’s a God. Is there a God? Hm. If there isn’t one, the stage isn’t putting on too good of a production; nothing worth watching at least.

the stage is set before. Wide and open, ready to hear your wildest dreams. You feel a little shy and you shrug your shoulders a bit, but when you open; your words begin to flow like a waterfall.

i would love to be on the stage and for once not be in the shadows. i could show you that i have talent. perhaps it would be more glamorous.. and perhaps only half as satisfying…

The lights lit the stage with a magical glow. Red, passionate and deep turned the figures into shadowy silhouettes as the band played a fast paced tango. Two lovers locked in the magic of theater, twirled about each other as one.
i can step on the stage, and i know that i will feel whole. they say that we are just a composite of all of the roles that we play in our life. so, it seems to me that if there is balance, any pure state of being, it has to be on a stage. on something that is entirely unnatural.
The stage was empty. The Actors had left hours ago. Now in the darkness the only performance that is running is the shadows of the past and the sounds of the last echo. Tomorrow the stage will come alive once again. To see the performance of the giants among men.

Let’s prep the world for the muse
