  6. When I grew so fast in 8th grade people thought it was funny to call me “Stretch”. I was embarrassed, and that’s when I started stooping. “Your posture is terrible,” my mother said. “Stand up straight, don’t stoop over.” I wasn’t conscious of it, but I think I wanted to be smaller, not bigger.

  10. When I see stretch I think about, piano. Before you begin to play you must stretch your fingers. If you don’t you could seriously hurt your hand. Not stretching can cause your muscles to mess up, also your fingers won’t be warmed up enough, and the way you play won’t be as efficient. If you play pieces like by Bach, you really need to stretch because not only are they challenging, but you have to work like a metronome, and if you aren’t stretched that could cause lots of stress. So before you start playing make sure to warm up!

    The boy’s eyes widened as he stilled, gazing at the fire with something akin to hesitant curiosity. The kitsune smiled encouragingly like he had many times before, his golden eyes filling with hope.

    “Don’t cry, I’m here.”

    It was a long shot, but he had to try.

  40. Stretching reminds me of my cat, Goldie. I would always try and stretch like her, and noticed how she stretched in very similar ways people do. Stretching is such a weirdly universal physiological phenomenon. Muscles know who they are.
