the tires were spinning faster than they ever had before
I was screaming louder than I ever had before
the car was spinning out of control
but his face was calm, almost stoic, and his motions were controlled as he saved our lives
I don’t like tires, I have anxiety that when I am driving a tire will pop and I will die. Or, I will be stranded on the side of the road and not have a spare tire. Or, I will have to replace some tires and I don’t have money for that. Scary. Cars and tires are scary.

the white car had tires. all cars have tires. even the dead pones. I wish I were a car then I could have tires bikes have tires too my bike is purple i have colors in my head that my bike is purple reminded me of that

rainy road trip…
the hiss of hot tires

tires are rubber. I don’t know much about them. Changing, replacing, testing, kicking; I can’t do any of it, but I do know you could build a house out of tires–that’s where i’ll live.

When I think of tires, there’s one thing that pops into my head right away. It’s something that takes me back to those care-free days in the park of my childhood. The tire swing is where I always spent the most time whenever we went there. Young and easily-excited, I felt like I could fly as my dad pushed me up, down and “around-the-world”.
Bojana Barscevski
Tires are what you put on your car. They allow you to drive without trouble. They have axles and bults and stuff. When I think of tires I think of the stone and the Stone age. Haha

I remember one time, I was driving around with my boyfriend in his truck and he was about to drop me off at home when all of a sudden the damn tire blows out. It made this noise like the ground had a bunch of wholes in it, and it scared the crap out of me. I thought we were going to die on the side of the road just a few steps away from my house and all because the damn tire blew out. He drove the rest of the way with the tire blown out.

Tires. Like rubber. Rubber the movie where the tire kills the people oh my god why. Tires. Tires like tired like I am all the time and so what I’m left with is the stumbling, mumbling corpse of mine and my mother’s and the rest of the world. Tires. What? Tires.
Kristen
I have secret fantasies of putting nails under the tires of those causing my mind to be unsettled and angry. My brother did it once to my dad – he said he just wanted to see if he had good tires on his pick up.
I look at the car and see the wheels spin. “Wow that is one fast car I say. I’ll buy it!” “Are you sure?” The dealership man says, “You haven’t even gotten to ride in it yet.”
“I’m sure I want it, the night before my youngest son died he told me ‘mom’ you should get a new car’ I know he would want me to get this one.”
The first thing I ever bought for my car was a replacement tire. It is always there, just in case. It’s kind of like insurance. Though I hope I never need to use it, it is there for me in case I need it.
The rest of my tires serve a purpose. They get me where I need to go. Imagine transportation without the invention of tires. We would still be travelling on wooden or stone wheels, and I can’t imagine that being too good for the roads. It sure would be different.

tires tires everywhere. tires tires in my hair. cars, bikes, hummers. jeeps. driving to a mountainside. up to the peak… and over looking hawaii.

Today as I was driving to the pharmacy to pick up a prescription, I heard this WHOMP! and I immediately thought, “Oh god, not my tire.”
The whompwhompwhomp continued and I pulled over to check it out. All the tires were fine.
What was making that noise then?
I kneeled down to peer under the car and saw the something sticking there that looked like it shouldn’t be there. I pulled at it and it came loose.
It was the cardboard part from a hangar.
The best part of the story for me is that my tires are fine.
I don’t know much about tires, except that they are so darn expensive. The good kind of tires are, anyway. I remember when I had to buy an entire set for my new car. It was right before we drove off to California, leaving New Mexico behind forever. Hopefully forever, anyway. I never thought I’d miss that old desert, but surprisingly, I do.
We were sitting on the wet tractor tire by the side of an empty road. You had a small lighter with you. Every now and then you would flick it on. It was foggy. I didn’t like the cold. It was biting into my skin but being here with you made everything bearable.
If only I had listened to my mom, and took her advice, I wouldn’t be in this situation right now. If I only had a spare tire…or two, I could get out of here. I mean, it would help if I actually knew how to change a tire, but I could have figured it out. If I had a tire.

I got a flat tire driving back home to Adrian with Jordan and his friend Chris. We got stuck in the middle of Yipsi at 2am. It was scary but the overall experience was pretty hilarious. Three college kids with a car-full of stuff stuck in a ghetto city. Sleeping in a car is also very uncomfortable.

Tires are my life. They’re everything I think about. Why is it that everything in my life must revolve around this? Ugh. If only I had more tires…my life would be so complete. It’s like my own personal brand of herion that I can’t get enough of. Tires….i need you.
Shannon McKee
I was cold and sitting on this old tractor tire next to you didn’t seem like a good idea. It didn’t matter. I felt as if just being here with you made everything better. It started to rain, but only lightly. I looked up at you. You smiled.
Andrea

Old black and worn. No tread. Piled up against the side of the barn. Discounted tires. This guy was making a fortune off the unfortunate in the downward spiraling economy. Nice. Creative. Entrepanuer.

The tires screeched as I pulled away from the remnants of our life together.
I’m so exhausted, is all.
All your lies, and your synical words falling from your lips like turpentine.
And the bruises that litter my arms and my mind because of your poor decisions.
I always claimed that I was stronger then you made me become.
I was wrong.

Tires are the most important part of an automobile. It can have an immaculate engine and aerodynamic body, but if it does not have tires it is as useless as a wheel barrow without a wheel.

Do you know how many people don’t know how to check their tires and fill them with air? (That’s a rhetorical question. I don’t know how many, but it’s a lot!) It’s easy, it’s fast, it’s fun…. the little tire gauge thing looks like a sonic screwdriver, and best of all, air pumps at most gas stations are free!
Noisy Quiet
I was walking home one night and a car sped by. As I looked after the car, I wondered how life would be if tires were never invented.

As the tires ran by, splashing up the puddles of the rainwater onto the pavement, I walked down the lonely street with my hands in my pockets. I looked up into the dark, cloudy sky, squinting and struggling to see stars, but instead I’m faced with an endless blackness, a oblivious void in which I fear one day I’ll fall into.
ts is spelled wrongly because amercan version and I prefer the GB approach. But maybe a learner tires of such comments too!

Tires are round. They are circles. The move. They take us from one destination to another
Hearts are… shaped like.. I’m not sure. They beat. They take us from one moment to another, from one person, place, thing, memory.
The heart is nothing like a tire. The only thing they have in common is sometimes they tear and break. And sometimes they just help us keep going.
Are round and stuff oh my gosh i don’t know what to say about ’em. I guess uh, Black leather? Woah strange kinky um mm I wonder if anyone will recognize me based on this / judge me how does this work anyway? It’s my first time on this website. Tires. It tires me to write about tires under pressure and in fact I don’t even know why I feel pressurized
Loser
Tires are on cars. They make the car move. Sometimes tires pop so you have to change them. Tires are on all things that move. Bikes, scooters, golf carts, ect.

The leaves fall as they pass by,
They dance, they swirl,
Stir up the night,
And sing and sing,
With the whistling breeze,
As the summer ends,
Autumn falls with the leaves,
Twirling, fleeting,
Scurrying across the pavement,
Wishing off to somewhere else.
My mind tires of the mindless routine I have to go through everyday. All I see are shadows of people, who I fake a smile to everyday. I have no interest in their mindless conversations or their measly problems.
