I watch the shadowy figures pass by along the grey horizon. The rain drizzles slowly onto my umbrella. I notice a small hole dripping onto my shoulder as I smell the damp, dead leaves of autumn
Umbrellas are useful in many ways.. in ways where you can have make-believe swordfights as well ask keeping you safe from the rain.. they make a beautiful shape that brightens up the rainy days that happen… the shield you from the rain and create a small little barrier around you that is lik a little bubble

Umbrella.
You protect me from the rain,
and the pain,
of the storm called life.
Umbrella.
It is a constant wonderment to witness the innovations mankind has produced to, in large part, avoid being wetted by the rain. If necessity is the mother of invention, comfort is surely its favourite aunt.
the umbrella helped me dodge the cold, wet bullets falling down from the clouds. All i could think of was his face, and how angry it looked when i last saw it. I felt a speckle hit my arm, and i brushed it off. I couldn’t tell if it was from the rainclouds, or a salty tear drop falling from my eye.

Keep me safe. Don’t let the wind get me.
Umbrella, ella, ella, eh, eh, eh
Don’t let the rain come in.
Umbrella, ella, ella, eh, eh, eh
Protect me from the cold and wet
Umbrella, ella, ella, eh, eh, eh
Just keep me safe.
Umbrella, ella, ella, eh, eh, eh
Keep me safe in a storm.

Umbrellas are really weird if you think about it, they are just shaped really strangely. But they are helpful…
The first umbrella i ever bought was in Laos. i was with My Thai girlfriend on vacation. If we took the umbrella with us, it would never rain. We joked about having special powers. The next day she went away with a farang who had more money than me. now, all i have is the blue umrella with flowers to remind me of her, especially when it rains.

I like to hold it when it’s windy and maybe some day the gust will pick me up and I’ll be Mary Poppins, without all the kids, and the freakish animals that talk and do psycho stuff. You can take an umbrella and it might double as a weapon if it’s strong enough. Maybe there’s an industry for that.

Oh fuck, up pops the chute as a wall of small silver coins hits the pavement and nails jimmy. Bob narrowly escapes due to the convenient umbrella someone had left on his desk this morning. Later that night Bob would stumble out of a bar drunk and find a time machine in his back yard. Ontological loop closed.
The word keeps coming, why won’t it give me another? Umbrella, umbrella, I need one to shield me from that word. Why won’t it leave me alone? I want something different but all I get is the picture of a rainy day and the thought of solace under the umbrella.

Little children run across the street. The nanny follows “Slow down! I am old!” They laugh, the boy looks up to feel a single raindrop fall on his face. They dash back to the woman before the downpour ensues, they search for the protection of her umbrella.
He held up his umbrella for me. How sweet, I thought. It’d been a while since someone had been so sweet to me. Honestly, last time it rained I ended up pushed in the mud. So this was nice. I don’t if I could ever really love him, or if he’ll ever really love me, but this, right now, is nice.
An umbrella is a sad thing. It keeps you warm and dry on a rainy day, but what is wrong with being wet? Playing in the rain and puddles is wonderful! Live. =)
There was an umbrella and it was made of many different colors. Pretty much all of the colors of the rainbow and then some. It seemed like someone had tossed their cookies over it. It was just that colorful. So the man picked the umbrella up and thought, “Hey! I’ll use this as a gay pride flag” and it will actually have some use!

Waiting for the school bus, a 6 year old boy held his umbrella upside down, he liked the way it collected water. He was soggy all day.
It wasn’t raining too hard. Still wish I had an umbrella though. I bet that guy over there wished he had one too. The pretty girl he was talking to had one. I thought it was nice that she was socializing with him so publicly. The conversation looked awkward, and the fact that his lack of an umbrella was keeping him on the steps and, thus, prolonging the conversation made it even more awkward. Oh well. Once they got past this stage, I’m sure their kids will be cute.
As it was raining you could barely see the couple as they were tangled together under their umbrella in a tight embrace.

I was standing underneath my umbrella when he walked past. Running with his shirt off and soaking wet. Butterflies started to fly through my belly. He was amazing and I didn’t even know his name.

I love umbrellas because using them means one of two things. It’s either sunny or it’s raining. I love both! they uplift my mood and somehow get through to my soul. God Bless nature!

It’s raining, it’s pouring, where is my umbrella…I can’t find it…this house is a mess…I can’t find anything…it’s driving me crazy…it’s raining, it’s pouring…I don’t want to get wet…where is my umbrella? I’m going crazy…it’s raining, it’s pouring…I’m staying home.
Out of the pouring rain and into the garlic-scented kitchen. This was home and I was inside; safe from the torrents that raged incessantly. Who was in my kitchen, though? The only people who knew my apartment passcode besides me were… well… no one. Unless…
There she stood with the simple sound of raindrops surrounding her. It was like everything had finally came together. She was happy. He was happy. She felt as if her life was a scene out of a movie, except usually in this situation, with the rain, and the leading lady standing under an umbrella it is a sad scene. But not this, this was happy. This is where her life made sense. This is how it all began. It may have been an ending for the two of them, but it was also the start of something new, something bigger.

the world is such a sad place;
it’s like the sky is crying.
you can see Her forehead cloud over
in anguish,
Her eyes flash
with the pain yet to come.
can we have help
to protect us from Her wrath?
or is it
our
own
fault?
I was walking in the dark alley wielding my umbrella like a sword. Rain pouring down my face and wetting my clothes, but my fear was not my dampness it was who could be surrounding me at any moment. Leaping over a puddle I imagined a high speed race to escape the villians. There light, the diner. A safe haven.

The air was cold and the ground wet. The bustling streets were overly crowded despite the fact that it was raining cats and dogs. I had to rush just like everyone else to try and get out of the rain but failing. I had forgotten to take an umbrella and was getting just as wet as everyone else when suddenly a closed umbrella was thrust in front of my nose.

Is a single by rihanna that reminds me of one of the worst years of MU life – at least up until the point it was releases in 2007. The year before, I’d split up with my girlfriend of ten years, only to quite unexpectedly begin a new relationship soon after. Too soon after. With a girl I worked with. By 2007, the relationship was no more but we still had to work together.

I transformed myself with an umbrella hid myself from not only the rain but the images that you tossed at me. I hid and shaped my self convex instead of concave.

umbrellas are amazing because they keep people dry. If I were an inventor, or if I were the very first inventor. The first thing that I would invent would be the umbrella. I am awesome.
