  6. What is a zone? Some might say a zone is a place where one can collect their thoughts. Some may say the zone is a metaphorical place that describes a concentrated state, a focused mind and body. I say a zone is where youcan’t park. Perhaps a place where your car may be towed. A zone could also be a place where hard hats are required.

  9. The zone is the place i want to be. I will work to get there but when I’m in the process of trying to get there, I’m already there. It’s the goal but it’s also the journey. It’s the place where we cheer but the process can make us cry. And it always makes us better for the trying. There’s no zone like the one we find ourselves in, as we reach hard for the one we want.

  12. “There are particular zones above ground that the Unity party let people go in,” Myra explained. “They are the few places that aren’t polluted. The rest of it, they don’t give a damn, no matter how much they claim going below ground was to reduce pollution. It’s all a lie.”

    Junie Dorlandt

Well maybe at least one or two would be able to answer but those were the students that could afford to ignore him.

  21. As we moved through Zone 1 to Zone 1B via the underground tunnels I began to see the destruction that had started not even a week ago. Towers and homes were set aflame, some people still running from the buildings, their skin scorched, spluttering and coughing for air. The enemy forces grabbed hold of them as the victims of the apocalyptic circumstances tried to run past, and marched them back to the dungeons beneath the city. Things were getting rough and out of control, and it was proving difficult to prevent.

  22. I’m in the zone, every shot is going right on the line, until my mind wanders. I begin running through the song lyrics, but they won’t leave and I just keep singing under my breath, losing point after point. if the zone is there, then I’m not in it anymore.

  24. Zone. It’s a designated spot for some purpose. No fly zone. Comfort zone. We need our space to take care of our issues, sort ourselves out, work towards our goals. As much privacy as we may need, sometimes we need to let others in to help.

  25. A place where things, undoubtedly, happen, and are situated. It is a place, a setting, an environment in which flora and fauna thrive, and put the ‘zone’ to good use. A zone may also refer to a sector in a modernized place of living, where humans dwell; a zone could be an area that is populated by millions…or hardly any people at all.

  26. You’re bad for me. Every time I think of you, I zone out. Everything around me is quiet, and I just hear you, talking to me, over and over, on replay. All I see is your face, all I hear is your voice, and all I feel are your arms around me, holding me tight and safe.

  27. The red zone was the worst zone of all; it was the zone of death. One was not supposed to ever enter this zone yet we had. While my companions sat there screaming and panicking I wondered, “What will I tell my children when I get out of here?”

  29. I go to the ghetto school
    old school
    cracked sidewalks, musty lunchroom school
yellowed tiles and creaky stairs school
the school that all the hispanics are zoned for
It is not the new school
not the fresh asphault, shiny lunch tables school

    but my school is home

  33. In many instances the word zone defines a time in one’s memory for example I remember selecting an address specifically so my child could go to a school and be in the right zone for it. Hilarious. We lied. We didn’t live in the zone.
