  2. An adviser is a person whom you can turn to if you need help or advice (hence the term). I would consider and adviser someone whom I could trust in matters I was unsure of. I was once an adviser during a deployment with the US Army Special operations command.

  3. An adviser is always good to have. Someone who can help you when you don’t know what to do. My musicteacher is a really good adviser, and my two best friends too. Whenever I don’t know what to do, I ask them, and they always have some good advise, something good to say that I haven’t thought about. I love them.

  4. The only person I have ever considered an adviser was Mrs. Cosgrove. She was such a wonderful woman, and she was a role model in so many ways that I’ll never be able to express. I’m really grateful to her.

  8. Sitting in my chair at work I leaned back comfortably, and breathe a sigh of relaxation. That’s right, let the others do the hard work. I’m the supervisor. I get to just watch everyone work their butt off while I do nothing and get paid more… Muah ha ha!!!

  9. My college advisor was a middle-aged grumpy man who hated every student he taught. One day he died. No one went to his funeral. It was sad.

  14. He sat at the front of the classroom talking to the students. Our teacher adviser. The same man I’d been seeing all summer, the man that I had made believe i was a college student. I mean, I never said that exactly. I told him I was a senior and he assumed that I meant in college. He saw me that first day, and now things have become complicated.

She just kept on talking while I kept on wishing that the laws of physics would make an exception so that I’d be able to flip it right into her face without touching it then and there.

  18. Advisers surrounded me. My friends, my family, everyone had advice for me. I didn’t want it, I thought everyone was wrong. I had the teenage arrogance to presume that I knew better. Of course they were right, but I don’t regret it. I lived and loved alone, and I felt every emotion with great intensity. I will never regret the death of a love that burns.

  23. afvisers supervise everything and coordinate things so they go smoothly. they tend to make me nervous with the large amount of structure that they invoke. they often provide good advise but it is nerve racking for people who have no self control like i do.

  24. my class had advisers. they were there to ‘talk’ to. that didn’t go too well.

    i wish we were told to use them more. i like discussing random matters with people that otherwise would be just another face in the crowd.

  26. People should seek an advisers every time they plan on doing something. They should do this not to acts as the adviser says, but to have different perspectives on the same topic. That way, eventually, everybody becomes a good and reliable adviser, for every single one of us would count on other peoples thoughts and our own experiences to live this wonderful life to the fullest.

    Before he could type anything else, her words were at it again: “Listen, it’s not because I hate you or anything, but honestly, my life is MY life.”

    “I thought you were my friend,” he typed.

    “You’re overreacting,” she replied.

  30. College advisers. Most of them really aren’t there to help you unfortunately. They just want to get you in and out of their office as quickly as they can and if you happen to snag some classes in the process, so be it. I wish they were more personable.

  40. I have no idea what “adviser” means but when i think about it i think of someone in control o guiding you through something.. or maybe even that type of cap that shades the sun. Who knows and who cares.
