I feel sorry for people whose biggest accomplishment post-high school is hooking up with people who are still in high school and 19, and who brag about doing a basic job that anyone with a middle school education could do. And then they have a pattern of bragging about how much everyone loves them and wants to hook up with them. Sorry but this is a sign of low self-esteem. And perhaps my writing also sounds like low self-esteem but quite honestly I just feel sorry for them and the extraordinarily low standards they have set for themselves. I have found a model for what I don't want to become.
I can barely keep brunch down, I'm so nervous. Each day this week I've worked and perfected what I'm doing, but with each day I get increasingly more scared of failure. But the closer it gets to time to go, the better I feel. I'm ready to do this.

Loathing is a combination of disgust and hate. A powerful combination, one that doesn't just disappear as time passes by.

How does one become passionate about something? What triggers an intense dedication to something? The line between passionate and apathetic is a narrower one than a person might think. You will reach a point where you either have an excess of caring or none at all. And isn't that a scary thought?
I packed all my supplies in the smallest bag I could find and threw it over my shoulder. Tonight was the last time, everything ended here. It was going to be a shootout, that much was true, but I had good faith that I would win.
The bars of this prison won't hold him for long. He's too slick, too clever. Even if the police managed to catch him a million times he would always escape. Not like that was a real possibility. This was the first time he had ever been caught and it would likely be the last.
