Apparently the wrong turn of phrase set me off on the wrong foot. I understand you're always in pain, but what you don't realize is that you seem to suffer so much more than the average person over small things. Meanwhile yesterday was the day I missed the 15-year-old picture of a very young me in my father's arms and you asked me nothing because you were too busy not fitting in.
Why would you think I'd change myself for you? After reading your words about the idea of "ugly," I turned around to look in the mirror. I'd grown to appreciate the face that so many had put down in the past. Even though I still didn't think I could equate with beauty, I was going somewhere. Thank you for showing me that some opinions really don't matter.
All day she had pondered the word. Though not actually knowing what it is. Sitting in the corner of the room, "notice me" was the larger of her thoughts. No one said anything. No one came anywhere close. She just sat silently, sleepily locked up inside her own head.
Opening the drawer, she found a light shining in the back. She smiled, and wished all her dreams to come true. Looking out the window now, she discovered it was a beautiful day. Though overcast, the melting snow looked like decorative frosting on the ground. The sun seemed to grin onto the earth. Everything felt perfect. Then she woke up.
Why is it okay to call someone else's beliefs myths? Why would you say "Greek Mythology," "Native American Myths," when you don't know-it's possible they actually believed it. is it okay for me, as an agnostic to say "Christian Myths" because I don't believe it?
And I was thinking about you today.
"alter" is not the same as "altar." An Altar is where people go to worship some higher power who the question of their existence could be life-altering. To stand on the altar and let the priest give you away to a ceremony that will alter your life is something I'm afraid I could never appreciate doing.
Nation. America, the country of plastic surgery and body piercings. Well, maybe not the only one, but you get the idea. People suffering for beauty is something not unheard of here, even though fast food is our forte.
