I painted a school once while I was in South America. The biggest thing that stuck out to me is that while I was painting that school bright blue the kids were in it. All the kids would point to my shoes and talk about them. It shocked me that they were so intrigued by my silly, bowling alley shoes. It put things into perspective for me.

Today I was remembering all the things I did last summer and I miss it. In fact, I just wrote my friend a poem/rap about last sumer so i'll copy and paste it. That is technically within the minute time limit because it is just copying and pasting, eh? (:
I'm sitting in Goshen
Without my sun tan lotion
and nothing to do
except tie my shoes
but my shoes have no lace
cuz summer showed its face (finally)
so i'm back to square one
this is no fun
where's my good friend blake?
probably at the lake
far away from me
how can this be?
because he's in ohio
or somewhere, I dunno
so i'm thinkin bout the ol days
of swimming at those bays
and playing fugitive at night
as we ran with all our might
and in the morning we'd eat
choco pancakes instead of meat
as you'd entertain that baby
that hated you, maybe.
We had picnics at mickey d's
underneath the trees
while singing owl city
and dancin our little ditty
that we learned in costa rica
with our friends the ticas.
oh what fun we had
so come back cuz i'm sad
so we can have adventures galore
because we always loved to explore
so I hope this rap/poem will do
to show my rapping skillz are poo
and that we, the people of goshen, miss you.

Funny you should mention that. So there I was, standing beside my best friend. For some reason we were talking about cheeks, but that's nothing too strange because we often get on strange topics. I pinched her cheek and that's when I spotted it: her mole. It was taunting me on her cheek. I pinched it. The next thing I know it she slaps my hand away! "Not the mole" she says, but I go back for it just to be rejected again. "I thought we were best friends?!" I cry out despairingly and to my amusement she replies "We are, but the mole is off limits." I will get you some day, my friend.

When I hear this word I think of an 80's hardcore group. They think they're so cool with their crewcuts and band logo t-shirts. yeah... whatever, dude.
When I was little my grandparents often babysat my two older brothers and me. They both used to be school teachers so they had many materials left over from their old classrooms. My grandma often gave us each a different genre of stickers so that we could identify all of our belongings. I had teddy bears, my brother had butterflies and my other brother had dinosaurs. I wish I could have had dinosaurs.
