The road was almost empty, only a few other cars were driving along the dimly lit country road. He rolled down the window and listened to the cows mooing in the distance. It was such a calm evening.
The paintbrush glides easily on the fresh canvas, leaving a trail of bright paint on the fabric. The brush glides here and there, forming different patterns and lines on the canvas, creating new, wonderful worlds.
The key slipped into the lock effortlessly. She twisted it to the left. The key wouldn't budge. She twisted it to the right. Still it wouldn't budge. She tried jiggling the key in the lock, but nothing happened.
"How on earth am I going to get this pinball machine open? I need more credit!"
He was about to doze off, when a tap on his shoulder startled him. The manager was standing in front of him, with his hands on his hips, an angry look on his face. He knew he wouldn't get out of this that easily...
The plant was still thriving. It had been sitting in the small glass of water for a few days, and within hours had already started creating new roots. By the next day the roots had grown so much that they were wrapping around the stem of the plant.
She sat on the park bench, watching the street performers jump around in funny costumes. She was highly amused.
The park was full of people, happy faces, delightful laughter. This was the perfect summer's day.
The flashing light fills the sky, as plump droplets of water fall everywhere. A loud rumble fills my ears, the thunder claps are so loud I know the storm is right above me. I stand in the rain, watch the flashes of lightning and listen to the lovely, loud thunder.
The loud rumbling sound washed over the dark sky. Then suddenly, a flash of lightning lights up everything around me for just a second or two, before the loud, ominous rumbling comes again. Then, the first plump drops of water land on my shoulders. I love thunder storms.
She felt the convulsion in her stomach. Again. And again. Soon, the spasms in her gut forced the contents of her stomach to spill all over the toilet bowl.
Everybody has skeletons in their closets. Things you don't want others to find out.
