  1. I should be studying right now, yet instead I’m here. I did not study at all. I am probably going to be screwed.

  2. I study the way he moves…his personality through the way he walks, the way he gestures when he talks, the way he relaxes his body when he sits down.
I study his eyes…the depth of his eyes when they tell me a story. the color, oh the brilliant color that changes depending on the light and what shirt he’s wearing; always magnificent blue, they capture me.
his mouth…that half smile, that smirk, that plays with me. it toys with me, it pulls me in, I crave my lips against that smirk. even more against his smile. the smile he rarely shows, the smile I draw out of him so often.
his body…that’s hidden from all but me. like I carry a code that grants me access to a secret more guarded than the pentagon’s. a secret more valuable than theirs.

  3. i studied for my exam but i got sick so i didn’t have to take it. my little sister is pretending to study right now. studying is never any fun, not even when you get to color parts of the body.

    Christina
  5. I studied his face. How silly he looked, all red faced and puffy and sad. He had been crying, of course, since it was his father’s funeral. Who wouldn’t cry? But he looked stupid. He didn’t look like the Mark I knew. I wanted to punch him. I wanted to kick and scream and sob, “You’re supposed to be the strong one! Don’t you fucking dare cry!”

    Ven
  6. New studies, press releases, opinion pieces, articles. Go back to the source, dig deeper, find the original quote. I love the research but I get lost in the digging, forgetting I’m supposed to be writing forward to the future, not just digging into the past.

I dont stand and therfore earn th distastful glares from the 70 yr old veterans that have been coming here since before all this stained glass was erected.
Instead Istudy the back of your head, five rows up nestled snug between the retired choir leader and the newly acquiire kindergarten Sunday school teacher. I stare at the waay your neck and sholders flex as you ease your way through Amazing Grace. The pastors ‘golden boy’ singng large and loud the praises of the Lord!
    And I remember.
I remember the way it felt when you were on top of me.

  22. Studying is very dull. I have to do it almost every night. It makes me a bit frustrated, but I know I have to do it. I’m the only one that has to study every night. 23. I studied the number of eyelashes in the mirror, a tiny clump of mascara on the edge of a fine point. My attention broken when the cell phone buzzed on the bathroom counter beside me, like an alarm threatening to denote a bomb. Bruised pieces of fruit lay a top the cabinets.
