the answer was easier than what they had perceived it to be. The solution sat there on the table in front of them. Salt. If they had added the salt the flavour would have really taken the judges by surprise. Instead it was mediocre.

they climbed the wall together to peek in at the garden party. The sounds of laughter tickled their ears and it made them happy to see that someone was rising above the misery of the 60s and celebrating with a party.

He never had that problem before. It was always a happy time for the two of them. But something had changed his mind. The happiness was gone and it was not going to be long before patience test love even harder than ever before. But why? Why now?

"Do not be afraid of what is around the corner" she said as I walked away from my very last moment I would see my friend. It saddened me to know our connection was about to close. But I was excited that one of us would be going on to the next level. I walked into the room and looked at the big machine. "Could you Lie on the bed please" the nurse said.

sometimes you sit in a crowded room and feel completely alone. You can create this by closing your eyes on a crowded train and put on those headphones that cancel out the noise and listen to something restful. But when you wake from that moment you realise you are surrounded.
trial
they stood there waiting for the verdict. The trial had lasted 34 days and finally the jury sat in the other room trying to decide if they were truly guilty beyond doubt. But the faces in the room said this was far from over.

so let's start at the beginning. You were walking down the corridor. as you looked up you noticed a man in a green jacket walking towards you. His name printed above his pocket. You could not work out the letters till he was close enough to say "Good morning sir" and yet you didn't reply.

she didn't claim to remember meeting him before. But there he stood calling her name from across the room. People rushing passed to catch their bus. She climbed the stairs to take her seat only to be stopped in thought as she felt a hand on hers.
together
they sat at either end of the bench. feeding pigeons but neither talking. Their lunch eaten quietly. and yet, to a passer-by might say they had lunch together.
towers
the towers leaned gently to the right if you stood on your head in the park as we did every afternoon. The bells would toll and it would be the fastest sprint home anyone had seen. The bell tolled on the 5th strike and mum would be angry.
