    Anthony Wood
  2. I took my camera and went down into the woods. I saw a deer standing there, motionless, looking at me. I held my camera up to my eyes. Click, click, click. I moved a little bit. A tree was blocking my view. The deer saw the movement and was gone. One minute she was there, the next she had disappeared.

  5. The camera has always intrigued me. How can one little device creature pictures on a box for the world to know? Who thought of such a thing? Even the radio and telephones really creep me out because technology seems so unnatural. I couldn’t even dare to think about how inventions came into the world.

  6. There’s a song I really like to listen to when I’m feeling pensive and kinda depressed. It’s performed by Lana Del Rey. She has a characteristically smoky voice.

The song is called “Without You”, and one of the lines goes like this:

“I even think I found God
In the flashbulbs of the pretty cameras-
    pretty cameras
    pretty cameras…

  13. “Lights, camera…”

    “Wait, wait!”

I rolled my eyes and backed away from my filming position as the star, Samantha Kelliorson, waved her arms frantically for the director to step in. As he did so, I realized how heavy his eyelids appeared to be – gray blinds against his eyes. He needed more coffee, or something, to get through this.

“I just don’t feel right, Bradley,” Samantha was saying. “I’m just not in the moment.”

“I’ll put you in a moment by slamming the camera literally into your face,” I muttered.

    Belinda Roddie
  14. The camera never lies. That cost me my marriage. I took the shot idly not expecting to see Uncle Fred’s face in the bedroom window. Well conclusions tumbled down and with the drugs I’d been taking rage took over and I made the biggest mistake of my life

  15. Dear A,

If you’re reading this then you know I’ve gone. I took nothing but the items I brought here and the Francoise Hardy record we bought together. You never really liked her much, did you?

  18. A camera captures a million things, both beautiful, and not so stunning. Whether the photograph taken is beautiful or not, you may decide. Opinions are not always allowed to be voiced freely, Because some times people will disagree with you, or even hate you for what you’ve said, and I find this disgusting. I find it confusing and harsh that no human being has entirely a right to say what they like, be it crude or perhaps exceptionally boring. Something as simple as ”Do you like my new camera?” – ”No, it’s an ugly color” could get you in trouble, deep trouble.

    Holly
  19. Um … cameras take pictures.

  20. Say Cheese! She says- so cliche I think, and the camera catches my eye roll in perfect timing. I was such a brat then. Why couldn’t I have realized that some day. Today. She’d be gone and I’d crave one of her ‘family fun days’ that used to embarrass the hell out of me.

  21. the camera is the killer. the pictures stained in sun and a love that is no more. i can’t look through the lense of our love anymore. I must put it down. I can not look at our pictures and long for the glassy shell of our summer. you and i. i and you.

  22. A piece of wonderful technology. The camera allows us to capture moments called pictures using light and is worth a thousand words.

    Chux
  23. I held the camera for one last time as I am standing by my front door patiently waiting for you. I can’t help imagining what you’d think when you see the photos I saved on your camera. Of me. Someone that once meant so much to you. Or perhaps you’d just laugh and rid yourself the burden that has long been off of your shoulder. Then for the one last time, I felt the weight of the camera in my hands before I pass it right into yours. And for that moment, I was sure, that time had already begun to pixelate my almost lover.

    Jo
  24. “Say cheese!”
    “Cheese!”
With a flash and a snap, Ara took the shot.
“Babe, you have ice cream on your nose.”
“I do?” Dante wrinkled his nose.
“Yes..” she chuckled and kissed the tip of his nose.

  25. A camera is a joy to have, the tool to making memories. If I had a Camera I would take endless pictures.

  26. i love these. they take pictures of shit. i remember having to make one in school when i was younger. i dont even remember how they work but they’re fucking magical. i love that shit and miss the days when i was younger and didnt have to worry about things like money.

  27. Well, I have to start classes in a few days and I still don’t have my camera fixed. I was supposed to go today to that little yellow shop but I didn’t find the time or energy to get out of my house and go. Bummer. But then again, I was the one who chose photography as the darn extracurricular activity. I somewhat regret it, but then I think: Do I really picture myself in the sports, folklore dancing, or arts club? Cus if I know myself good enough, my single talent is chasing my friends, family and boyfriend away when I get in that neutral and depressing state of mind that my own insecurity causes. That talent, I’ve been practicing a lot in these last weeks. I guess I have to stop unless I want to be a complete loner by the end of this month.

  28. Camera are like the eyes we were never born with. With them, we capture the moments of life which we deem valuable. And it is with them, that we can cherish the precious moments we intend to keep beyond our brain capacity.

    Jo
  29. A camera they eyes of memories, to capture or greatest joys, favourite scenes and everything else to our hearts content.

  30. My camera is my window to the world that I take with me everywhere. When I bring it home, I can climb back through this window to get to the places I have been.

    Wendy
  31. If I had a camera I’d take a picture of you now, so that I could remember all of the reasons why I need to stay strong…

    Sophie
  32. I wish that I took more pictures because I LOVE photography. I adore being behind the camera even more though. I think that I Need to lose weight though so that I can look good at whatever angle the camera captures. I need a new camera that’s for sure.

  33. It held the image longer than it needed too, longer than it took to expose. As he gingerly wiped the photo back and forth he reflected on the shot, and the frustration of trying to get purchase on the image. Finally it came too, but it was not the beautiful scene he saw through the lens, for although his family was there, the character in the middle he did not recognize at all.

    Jeremiah
  34. A camera snapshots life for the future. Without it we would be left with stories, his stories, the meaning of HisStory (History)

    Chris Williams
  35. I look at the photos I’ve taken of you, I am stunned you have chosen me. I am so damn lucky.

    Crystal
  36. A camera. It is a simple tool with one function. Capture an image to store it away forever, even longer that a memory can keep it. It is a window to the past, it takes an image and preserves a fond time to be remembered in the future. How is one to know what happened on one’s first birthday, or their first Communion, or their first drive in twenty years? The answer: a camera.

    Skippy Dippy McMuffins
  37. she stood with her fingers curled around an imaginary camera. Lined it up right in front of her face, eyes wide looking through the imaginary view finder. Zoomed in and adjusted the lighting. Smiled and made a click noise with her mouth. Sigh. This will forever be etched in the back of her brain.
a soft fluff of clouds wrapped up around the foothills and sinking into the crevasses. The wispy mist at the edge of her toes. It buzzed with a glow of the rising sun and sang with the ringing of silence. In every breath there was a rush of life. Like nothing that a picture could bring.

  38. Cameras are fascinating.

They instantly capture what is happening and chronicle it for us for the rest of time theoretically.

The use of cameras in effective ways can capture and allure audiences from across the globe.

Cameras are today’s diaries. Cameras See. Cameras Watch. Cameras live.

    Dan Pointer
  39. Camera’s are such a brilliant idea that you can capture life every moment, every minute. Now adays you can have digital cameras so you can erase and have a do over where we never used to get that option before. Why wouldn’t you want every chance to capture all of life’s greatest moments and email them to everyone you know?
